Has anyone had any experience making a meatloaf in a loaf pan with a very large dill pickle inside? I had a recipe for it but lost it. I can't remember if there was some kind of trick to it or not. When you sliced the meatloaf there would be a slice of dill pickle in the middle of the meatloaf slice. I thought it might be a fun thing to make for my Holloween supper. LIke a pickle in a costume....

Plums are dried to make prunes, then the prunes are extracted with water to make prune juice; why don't they just squeeze the plums directly?

Is there some kind of chemical change caused by drying &
reconstituting?

Note: please, this is serious; don't just reply "because then they would have to call it plum juice"!

Thanks in advance for your help in this pressing matter.

I want to make some Halloween cut out sugar cookies now and freeze them to be take out before the holiday and frost them. Will they be okay if I do it now or is that too long? I use real butter in all my cookie recipes and the best possible ingredients I can find here. I don't want them to taste old or freezer burnt.

I am making one for this weekend.... but I want it to look realistic looking. My question is... do you mix the cake mixes (german and white) and bake them together? Or do you bake them seperately and then just mix them together after they are crumbled? Last time I did them seperately, and it did not look as realistic. I was going to try it together this time, but I dont want it to look even worse and I dont want a total of 4 cakes sitting around. Secondly, any tips at getting even coloring on the cookie crumbs? ( and do you take the filling out first before putting them in the food processor)

We have been invited to an 80's theme party where the guests were asked to dress in the style of that decade. I want to join in the fun, but don't want to spend a bunch of money on clothes I might not ever wear again. Need ideas for female and male guests. Thanks!

any suggestions on how to make the process easier? i don't want to "slowly" do it, like only cut out one type of meat and then gradually do others. I'm starting tomorrow, haha, so i need some tips!!

Either a drink you invented, or a drink that hardly anyone else knows about. Include the recipe (if you have it), and the story of how you discovered it (if interesting).
