Most types of squash can be baked by cutting them in half and removing the seeds if large, then placing them cut side down in a baking dish with a little water for moisture/steam. Put in a medium hot oven (350 F) and baking until tender. Then the skins can be peeled with a knife. Add a little butter and sugar or salt, dependent upon type and your preference; and enjoy!

i'm not a fan of squash
but my friend has a killer version
quartered length-wise
she rolls the pieces in olive oil
and then a combo of garlic powder, salt, pepper
and rosemary
then pan fries them in olive oil
hot and quick
(better than 'tater salad at a picnic)
