Most of the recipes I've found online are too fancy. I'm looking for something my kids will enjoy (with or without using flour).

Which vegetables (besides soy) are a good source of protein without being combined (ie: combining grains and legumes makes a complete vegetarian protein)? I am an Orthodox Christian and need to find protein-rich foods I can eat during lent.

Okay so i eat (binge on) a LOT of junk food and don't excersize at all...and i'm very very lucky with my weight. And very grateful for that.

But i'm not healthy... so i'm going on a health kick. No more junk. no more chemicals.. and no more bread/pasta...etc

I'm a bit worried about losing loads of weight. I mean, anymore than say 10lbs and i'd be too skinny...

So what *healthy* food.. will keep my wieght UP?

Annd... what about protein powder? or is that just for building muscle?

thanks

I know that some meat eaters complain that vegetarians try to force their lifestyle on them, but I've actually found the reverse to be true. If anything, I've often automatically drawn criticism and asinine remarks whenever I've mentioned the fact that I'm a vegetarian. Why is that? Why do other people care what we eat? For some reason, I don't think that I would have gotten the same responses if I had also told these people that I don't eat tomatoes or mayonnaise, either.

In Canada, they can't call it ice wine unless strict temperature criteria are met throughout harvest and pressing. In a particularly bad vintage in Sauternes, if botryitis fails to occur, can the chateaux still sell their wines as AOC Sauternes?

I finally had just bought my crockpot over the weekend when visiting family in VIrginia. I had bought a whole chicken the other night and decided to make with it with roasted potatoes. Do you suggest making it in the crocpot or the oven? Which will come out tastier, juicier, and more moist? Please include any recipes. Thanks a bunch.

I'm talking about a cup of normal tea ( made of hot water, sugar, a wee milk and a tea bag) not green tea.
Also is it good for dieting ?. I mean can we control our weight by drinking more tea?

Do we use the meat for eating and use the skin from the same cow to make leather or are special cows bred for their skins? Am trying to get my head round whether leather is as bad as fur and don't know the answers.
