Yes, just make sure they are diced, sliced or crushed. I made a big uh-oh one time, when adding full sized almonds to my home-made melting chocolate.

Sure, there are many kinds of nuts you can add--chopped or not. For instance, if you were to make an almond bark, you would more likely want to use whole almonds rather than diced. Regardless of the nut I use when making chocolate/nut candies, I always toast the nuts first to enhance the flavor.
To toast nuts, spread them in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet and place them in a 350ºF (preheated) oven. For almonds and most other nuts, stir them in the pan every 5 minutes and toast until light golden colored (about 15 minutes), then remove baking sheet from oven and let it cool on a rack. For Hazelnuts, toast them until the skins begin to split and the nuts are light golden colored (15-18 minutes). Remove from oven, let sit for 10 minutes, and then rub the hazelnuts between your hands to help remove the skins.
If you are going to chop your nuts, you can do so either by hand using a large chef's knife on a cutting board; or in a food processor (fitted with the steel blade), pulsing for 30 seconds to a minute.
I have also added Heath Bar bits, which you can find in the baking section of the supermarket (usually in the same area as the Tollhouse Morsels). These make great candies or decorations for cakes, tortes, etc.
Also, you can make most chocolate/nut candies as you would an almond bark. It's not necessary to use molds all the time. Just be sure to line the sheet pan with parchment or wax paper before spreading the chocolate mixture on it. Let it cool, or put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, which makes breaking the bark into pieces a bit easier afterwards.
Good luck and enjoy!

Yes, but please make sure that no one has a nut allergy! Make sure the nuts are UN-salted, too.
Sounds delicious--can you send some to me...?
Have fun!
