I think it's all in a effort to get you to spend more money. You would have to buy 5 packs of hotdogs and 4 packs of buns to have an equal number of each.

I buy Grillmaster hotdogs and there are only 5 in a package.

i think they found a size bag for hotdog buns and a package size for hotdogs and didnt pay attention to the difference. they should make them the same though. i dont even know if the people know!

It's the eternal question...personally I think it's to try to get us to buy more hot dogs, and then more buns, and then...

If you buy the cheaper store brand hot dogs, they do sometimes come in 10-pks. Maybe not quite as good as the brand names, but at least you'll come out even. At my house no one cares what brand we have, they eat them so fast they probably don't even taste them! Extra buns can be frozen if you wrap them well, or they are good for sandwiches. Alternatively, you can buy better quality buns at your store's bakery, where you can buy exactly as many as you want.

I thought it was the other way around. 10 dogs, 8 rolls. At least that is the experience I just had.

because most likely at least 2 of the buns will fall apart, so they give you extras, and if more than 2 fall apart you are S.O.L
