Hi, I like sour things and love Granny Smiths apples, but occasionaly I don't find them sour enough for my taste. Are there any other types of apples with a simalar sour/sourer taste that are suitable for eating raw?

A Yahoo story broke today stating that Peter Pan peanut butter has recalled some product after salmonella sickened 288 people in 39 states since August, was linked to tainted peanut butter produced by ConAgra "Peter Pan" at a plant in Sylvester, Ga.

I have an unopened jar of the recalled product in my cabinet that I purchased last week. On the lid the number starts in "21111".

They say you can send it to the manufacturer for a refund but the mailing charge will make it non-economical. Can't I just return it to the place of purchase for a refund? I have never returned a food product before.

My dad came home from work today with a very annoyed look on his face.....this morning as he and his friend went into tesco's on their way work, for a cup of tea, my dad decided to buy a pack of Tesco Value Choclate biscuits. His friend ate one, and was almost sick, saying "o my god there's white spirit in them!" when he got home, i tasted a small piece of one (without swallowing it!) and spat it out straight away too, and my mouth still taste's of solvents now (i ate it 2 hours ago)

what do we do???? who do we contact? my dad called tesco's but they didnt want to know about it....

thanks in advance for any answers

Which is your favorite of the three standard ice cream flavors? For me, nothing beats strawberry ice cream from the county fair.

I have made two batches so far (one custard based and one non-cooked base). Both have tasted fine but are not creamy. They have the rough consistency of frozen milk. In one recipe I used two cups of whole milk and two cups heavy cream; the second recipe one cup whole milk and two cups heavy cream. So, I don't think I am lacking in butterfat contetn. After running the machine the prescribed time - about 25 minutes I freeze the soft ice cream.

Any suggestions?

Could the mixture be freezing too quickly? Should I let the mixture go longer in the machine and freeze less in the freezer?

I just want to know what you guys usually eat every day.

For breakfast, I prefer an English breakfast, with fat bacon and eggs, not to miss the tomato-sauced beans! (I don't give a damn, for I am very active, doing football and running every day and playing basketball every week.)
When I'm not in a mood for English breakfast, I just eat choco-flakes, which I also adore.

When lunching I mostly eat a sandwich with a salade, and salami. I am really a carnivore, I know. But I think that as long as I'm doing sports every day (almost, though), that meat-containing food can't harm me. In fact, it gives me more energy for more exercising, doesn't it?

In the evening, I eat various kinds of food. I mean that I eat different things every day, because I also eat always the same things in the morning and at noon.

I have a Black and Decker bread machine. I've had it for years and have not used it for quite some time. I bought a box of bread mix for bread machines. In the directions it says to add ingredients in the order my manufacturer suggests. Here is the problem: I don't have the book anymore. I have no idea what order to put the stuff in. Are they all the same? Does anyone have a bread machine? What order does yours require.

Thanks in advance!

My husband had this dessert when he was growing up, and we cannot find the recipe!! He says it is called "Cal De Hountz" or "Kalde Huntz" or something to that effect. He says it is chocolate with some kind of cookie and coconut oil. If anyone has heard of this, please let me know and at least help me figure out the correct spelling so I can search it online. As of now, I am getting nowhere typing that into the search area. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Our family has already consumed several containers of the Peter Pan peanut butter that is being recalled and we live in a state where CDC says people have become ill, but we normally store opened peanut butter in the fridge. Have done this many years.

The ones in the nearby supermarket are expensive and not that fresh. They're usually not as fresh as I want them to be after I keep them in the fridge for about a week. How can I keep them crispy in the fridge? I'm talking about bananas, grapes, peaches, tomatoes, green pepper, lettuce, cucumbers and black olives.

Is it that they don't like the taste of meat or do they just want to be healthy? Me myself, I only eat corn peas and potatoe but no other vegetables because they taste bad to me. Onions are the worst for me.

My friends and I are going on a road trip, and we were trying to find some snacks for the whole gang to enjoy. This one girl says everyone likes Doritos. Is that true?
