I have a Black and Decker bread machine. I've had it for years and have not used it for quite some time. I bought a box of bread mix for bread machines. In the directions it says to add ingredients in the order my manufacturer suggests. Here is the problem: I don't have the book anymore. I have no idea what order to put the stuff in. Are they all the same? Does anyone have a bread machine? What order does yours require.

Thanks in advance!

Here is the way most bread makers (mine included) say that you should add in your ingredients:
Liquid (Water, Milk, Egg, Honey)
Butter or oil
Flour (all flours, oats, etc.)
Sugar and/or salt
Yeast
Other misc. ingredients (herbs, spices, etc.)

I have a bread machine cookbook that suggests the following for all bread machines:

water
honey/sugar
salt
flour
yeast (not touching liquid)

Most important is for the yeast to not be touching liquid or salt until machine starts.

I follow the directions that came with the machine...you may need to contact the company to get a new book, or see if they have a web site where you can get the "order" recipes. Good luck!!!

contact Black & Decker, and tell them the situation. They probably have a copy of the book, thedy will send you or sell you for a nominal fee. The bread maker we have, broke a drive belt, I contacted the manufacturer, and bought a new belt.

You add the flour first and then with a knife in the middle put a little hole in it to put the yeast in then add the water around it. I have the best luck that way.
