Is bacon just like the greatest thing ever? I mean, it goes with pretty much everything, is totally greasy, delicious, and awful for you (unless you're on Atkins). Can anybody really think of a better food?

I am needing some super easy but healthy recipes for a family of 3. We live rural so don't have access to specialty ingredients, and have a limited grocery store. My hubby is allergic to all poultry, and our son is on a restricted sugar diet. I am 5 months pregnant, so need something quick, easy, and cheap. A weeks worth of dinner recipes would be greatly appreciated. I don't usually cook a lot (we used to live in the city and get take out food a LOT)... but now I have no choice but to cook everything at home. Being pregnant, I can't be on my feet or in a hot kitchen for too long... desert recipes would be awesome too!! THANKS!

Am out of ideas for good (and quick to make, if possible) vegan desserts; no chocolate, coffee or tea (am allergic).
And please don't tell me to stick to fruit w/out dessert, I need veg for myself and dessert for my guests...
