Ok, I'm running this course at university, which is a three day course for new students, mainly aimed to promote new friendships and feelings of security.

One of my tactics is treats. I will get some lollies for people, but I don't know who is coming and I want something for diabetics or just health conscious people. Without being brand specific (in case I can't get it), can you please help me find suitable foods...

I was reading the nutritional info on my bread and it said that 100g provides 228 calories, and that a 2 slice serving which is 76g provides 75 calories.

How does that work out? Maybe I`m calculating this wrong but if you divide 228 by 100 and multiply by 76 you dont get 75 calories you get 173.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Had this soup years ago in a restaurant - cresse (pronounced cressay as in the French). It is tomato & carrot. I don't like either as individual soups but this combination was FAB. Anyone have the actual recipe please - and it doesn't work just adding tomato soup to carrot soup! I've tried that.

Ho do you make your own dried fruit, i love dried banana chips and dried apricots, but they can be quite pricey and i'm never too sure how natural they are (as in the glazing and process it goes through) so any ideas?

It's summer in Oz so nothing that requires too much cooking. I won't have much time either as I have to work in the morning.

I'm 18 and thus I still live with my father at home. Although he doesn't eat red meat, he still finds making dinners for a week to be easier if we include some chicken and seafood, which is making it really hard for me to go completely vegetarian. Has anyone been in this situation and have any advice?
