If you want to learn how to cook for yourself, buy a good cookbook-I recommend "the Joy of Cooking" of the "Better Homes and Gardens" cookbook. Start with an easy recipe and experiment, adding things to make it more flavorful to you taste. If instead, you're serious about cooking, look into some cooking classes at your local community center or college. I also recommend going to foodnetwork.com and look for a link for "Good Eats". Alton Brown is an excellent professor!

Well, I learned to cook from my dad. (He's Italian, and a big eater)
Now I cook dinner for my mom every night. Now I am getting into chocolate making as well as cake decorating, which I am taking courses for. I suggest you do the same. Take courses at your community center for learning how to cook. Or, if you're hands-on, just dive into a few recipes and see what comes out.
Happy cooking!

The internet is a wondeful medium (place) to find any recipe that you could ask for. Use a search engine like Yahoo or Google and type in what you wish to prepare and you'll get tons of recipes. Follow the directions and you're on your way to being a good cook.

I think Breakfast is the easiest meal to start with. Start easy and eat at home. it's difficult to tell a person how o start because I don't know your level of experience. I also find that watching food network is very inspiring. you can get good ideas and watch them prepare the meals so you know what to expect. If you have DVR record the episodes and keep your fa vs. Plus they have different styles of cooking to view, southern, Italian, classical stuff as well.
the website is foodnetwork.com hope it works for ya
