I like cooking Thai food at home.

But why is it whenever I go to a Thai restaurant I get landed with a bowl of sticky rice and some hurriedly steamed limp veggies? It seems like half of them don't even know what 'vegetarian' means. The other half give me the 'look'.

What's up with that?

PS: sorry if I offended anyone, but these are just my experiences

Can't eat nuts or seeds, or anything with small bits that irritate the intestine. Absolutely minimal, if any, dairy - pizza, mac & cheese, lasagne, etc. are right out. No raw tomatoes. Minimal fibre.

I recently attempted a chili recipe from the Food Network.

3 pounds stew meat
2 teaspoons peanut oil
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 (12-ounce) bottle of beer, preferably a medium ale
1 (16-ounce) container salsa
30 tortilla chips, crushed
2 chipotle peppers canned in adobo sauce, chopped
1 tablespoon adobo sauce (from the chipotle peppers in adobo)
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin

Toss meat in salt and oil, then brown briefly in an open pressure cooker; add beer to deglaze, add remaining ingredients, and cook on low pressure for 25 minutes.

Heyy..I just asked a question before about what could I use to add some flavor to my lamb chops...Alot of the answers suggested mint jelly.
That sounds...well..not good...I mean it must be good if everyone is saying so, but what does it taste like? Is it actually minty? Mint jelly just kinda sounds gross...LOL

Because I bought some natural smoothie stuff and it is really delicious, but I just realized there is an outrageous amount of 27g of sugar in each glass!! I looked at the ingredients, but there is no high fructos corn syrup or even sugar, it is just like strawberry purree, natural flavors, and I would have been able to pronounce the ingredients when I was 7, all simple words and no weird chemicals.

So does this mean it is all natural sugar? Should I still be concerened with all this sugar?
