Because I bought some natural smoothie stuff and it is really delicious, but I just realized there is an outrageous amount of 27g of sugar in each glass!! I looked at the ingredients, but there is no high fructos corn syrup or even sugar, it is just like strawberry purree, natural flavors, and I would have been able to pronounce the ingredients when I was 7, all simple words and no weird chemicals.

So does this mean it is all natural sugar? Should I still be concerened with all this sugar?

Natural sugars found in fruit are part of the total carbohydrate count and listed as a sub-category - sugar. Look on the ingredient label again for anything ending in OSE. That would be SUGAR! It's hard to believe there isn't any added sugar in any kind of smoothie.

Here's a list of sugars...

Brown sugar
Cane syrup
Corn sweetener
Corn syrup
Corn syrup solids
Dextrose
Fructose
Fruit juice concentrate
Galactose
Glucose
High-fructose corn syrup
Honey
Invert sugar
Lactose
Malt
Maltose
Malt syrup
Maple syrup
Molasses
Raw sugar
Rice syrup
Sucrose

The amount of sugars you choose to consume is of course up to you. If you're not overweight and don't have a family history of diabetes you don't have to cut out all sugar. Just choose wisely and don't go overboard.

I happen to avoid ALL sugar (except in low sugar fruits/vegetables) because I'm a low-carber.

You can read more information on the various kinds of sugars at the site below....

Fruit is very high in sugar, especially juices. Current recommendation is 8oz only of juice/day, the rest of the RDA in whole fruit so you get the fiber as well. The calories are the main concern for most people.

Au contraire, many commercially produced smoothies do not have any added sugar. Odwalla smoothies, for example, do not. They are quite sweet without any extra.
