Vodka and diet anything, the vodka is pure alcohol and so contains less calories as there isn't anything added to it. Steer clear from whiskey and cream based shorts as these are not as low. Also be careful when adding corials (i.e Vodka lime and soda) as the lime will generally NOT be sugar free.I do like vodka and soda water with lots of ice and fresh lemon to squeeze into it.

Higher proof alcohol generally has lower carbs in that the sugar is more distilled out - and thus less calories...in that vein, yes, a hard liquor (vodka or gin especially) and a mixer like diet soda or tonic water would be very low calorie.
If you want to get even lower, there's always pure grain alcohol. aka Everclear. Straight. yay. It's not even available in some states, and it's pretty awful for the body, but hey, great for the figure.

Vodka and sparkling water is the lowest calorie alcoholic drink you can have. No calories in water and very few in vodka. The taste is not something that tastes great but you asked what is the lowest.

Any clear spirit and diet mixer. Gin and low cal tonic water. Vodka and diet coke are my fav's. Bacardi and Diet Lemonade or Diet Sprite with a big wedge of lime. If you have a smoothie maker, add Bacardi and Diet Sprite/Lemonade and pulp of lime and lemon, give it a whizz with some ice, pour and add an umbrella. Delicious!!!!

i would say dry white wine and a dash of soda is quite better than beer or lager and more healthier!! Having worked in bars for years, I have come across this many a time.
