Here in the UK you have to be 18 to buy acohol.......but the thing I don't get is............when you visit the company's website (i.e. www.guinness.com) - why do you have to be 18 to access it?! It's not like you're actually buying it, and you could just lie!!!

Can anyone shed any light?

Im a store manager locally here in ohio. we get sweet potatoes, yams, here locally with a ridiculous tag from the loiuisiana govt. they want me to know that the sweet potatoes are grown and inspected in a WEEVIL FREE AREA...now as much as i can appreciate my vegetables have no bugs in them, isnt that just a bit obvious. Why waste good money on letting me know that. We all get a good laugh but I was curious if anyone knew the real reason for this ridiculousness., Are they realated to the mattress tag people? Is this left over from the Clintons administaration...Can anyone solve the riddle of the stupid tag...thanks.

For thanksgiving my grandmother wanted to use Bakewell to make her biscuits but couldn't find it in any of the supermarkets, do they still have it? If so is there a website I can go to?

I bought a Mrs. Smith traditional custard pumpkin pie. Directions read 75-85 minutes at 375 degrees. I did that but the pie still seemed like it was boiling inside. I left it another 30 minutes. I checked it again and it was very watery when I stuck a knife inside. So I left it another 15 minutes. It's still a little watery.

The instructions say to pull out the pie and let it sit for 2 hours before eating. Is this because the pie hardens or should I leave it in the oven more until the knife comes out clean?

Ive baked pumpkiin pies before, but never had this problem. Please help!

My question is this

'Kina Lillet'.

Apparently it's made near Bordeaux and the company only sell about a million bottles a year. Does anyone know where I can get some, or the closest substitute??

I'm guessing that you should do it as soon as you can, but how long is too long for a freshly caught trout?

It's a special wholegrain mustard with a chocolatty sort of taste, and it's needed for making a Bavarian meal called "Weisswuerste", white parsley sausages, eaten with buns and pretzels, ideally with a glass of Hefeweizen beer or three. I've found all else so far, but the mustard is proving quite elusive.
Any Bavarian food aficionados here who can help me?
Cheers.

We're having friends over for dinner on Saturday, and I need something nice, but a little 'different' to serve for dinner. I usually do something like salmon, salad, rice, veggies- or chicken or a pork tenderloin, but I'd like to do something a little out of the ordinary and fun...any suggestions?
