How long should a turkey brine, and how much salt should be added to the water? Are both answers proportional to the weight of the turkey in pounds, if so is there a formula used?

I don't know how to cook. For the thanksgiving, I want to try the fry turkey from KFC. Has anyone tried that ? Was it any good ?

In the past, I ususally buy the whole turkey dinner from supermarket chain. I want to see if there are any other options around 50 bucks.

I need some really superb recipes that are, well, superb. I am always looking for new spins on things and if anyone have any really great ideas, I am all ears.

Just making sure that I keep my options open, as I have most of the meal planned.

Also, I am an pretty good in the kichen,so give me some tough ones! I just don't like packaged things, so fresh is best for me.

How do you make Chinese spareribs, the exact same kind you get at Chinese food places? I noticed that the majority of chinese food places all cook the same kind of ribs, so either it's frozen and they import from somewhere, or they all follow one reciepe? I plan events at a University for the College of Information Science & Technology. I am new and looking to plan different events than they planned in the past. An Example of some past events are: "Bowling w/ the Dean." Going to Hockey/Basketball Games. Having Hot coco/tea in the lobby w/ cookie breaks.
