i'm kinda confused and would like to know the diff between them and what is supposed to be the correct order of meals.

Breakfast is the first meal.
The noon meal is lunch. If it is the main meal of the day, it may be called called dinner.
The evening meal is supper. If it is the main meal of the day, it may be called dinner.
Dinner is a term used for the main meal of the day whether it is at noon or in the evening.
Brunch is a late breakfast that serves also in place of lunch, a full meal. It is usually served on a day when people have slept late or gone to church before eating.
Other meals are "snacks" or even "desserts."

I live in Texas - we do things a little different down here and in the South. We have the morning meal as breakfast, the noon meal is dinner, and the evening meal is supper. In the rest of the country, it is breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then you have a fancy word to cover the late risers - brunch (a combination of breakfast and lunch). Usually just three meals a day is the accepted cycle of eating. We Americans eat too much in general and exercise too little, but we sure enjoy what we are doing!

It depends on where you are on the continent...
Breakfast (the first meal of the day)
Brunch (eaten later than a breakfast but earlier than a lunch/dinner, usually includes a greater variety of food than a normal breakfast, but is primarily breakfast food)
Lunch/Dinner (Dinner usually means a heavier mid-day meal)
Supper/Dinner (Dinner is an informal way to say supper)

Sometimes people will use the work lunch to mean "snack". So some people have a "lunch" before bed.
You could say that a "dinner" is heavier than a "lunch" and a "snack" is even lighter still.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Some people refer to dinner as supper. They are the same for the last meal of the evening.

Just 3 meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Soe people say supper/dinner interchangably. On some days (like sundays) since people sleep in, there will just be two meals: Brunch (breakfast and lunch mushed together) and dinner.

The usual is Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
In the south (older people like grandparents) will refer to lunch as dinner and dinner as supper. It all depends on where and how you were raised.
