tom loves his 8 yr old son matt dearly.i really want to develop a relationship with matt as i care for him too as i have been in his life since he was 2.the problem is tom's exwife feels i'm in "her spot" with tom(he left her 7yrs ago but not for me and she never got over it)now she has no control over this but has made it very clear i am to have nothing to do with her son matt.meaning i am not allowed to attend ANY school functions,spend time alone with matt,have no contact with teachers,doctors ect.she feels this is for her and tom only and i'm not really her son's family so its none of my business.tom being a great dad will not go against her wishies in fear it will cause problems for his son.my question is why all this drama?why can't she be happy her exhusband married someone who loves her child and wants to be part of his life?

I have a beautiful image in my mind of my wedding with cherry blossom trees lining the exterior of the wedding hall. Is it possible to rent smaller cherry blossom trees?

Ok, my sister's wedding is on february 10th and I STILL don't have a dress! I'm fifteen. And we were sitting there...and I asked my mom if it would be weird if I wore like something just really dressy instead of a dress. And my mom told me to ask my sister cause it's her wedding. So then I asked her when we were just there. And I guess she didn't know if I was joking around or being serious and she looked at me and kinda frowned and while she kept on putting her make up she was like 'Do whatever you want'. Is she mad? Was that mean to say? I would love to wear a dress but what if I don't find one by then?? Would it be okay if I just took dressy pants and formal shirt?

My mother-in-law want to invite everyone she knows...... My mother is taking people off the guest list because they didn't invite her to this or that. Its pretty comical sometimes but I never knew how hard it was to get a guest list together. We are paying to for whole wedding ourselves so I think it's pretty funny how both Mothers are being about the whole thing.....
Anyone else having any comical or interesting guest list drama going on???

I am suposed to pick three songs for my wedding one for down the aisle one for signing the register and one for back down the aisle. I also need a first song to dance to as wel i am terrible with songs and every time i hear one i like i dont know the name and cant get hold of it. When I was younger, if someone couldn't make it, they replied no on the rsvp and send a card to the couple. Now it seems the norm is to have multiple receptions for folks in various areas of the country who couldn't make it. When did this come about? And wouldn't it be expensive to pull off? Just one reception is usually quite expensive as it is.

I have two sisters, (one of which I was in her wedding and my other sister was the Maid of Honor) and 4 best friends, and two almost step daughters, one of which will be 15 and ( the other one [9] will be flower girl). Either in Vegas or San Antonio. Vegas would be a blast, but San Antonio is our special place we go to get away. We want to do something different with just us two there. We've both been married before so we don't want a big wedding. Been there, done that kind of thing. Which place would you recommend and what kind of ceremony? I'm 29 and he's 40. We're both single parents raising our kids on our own. We are both into 80's rock big time. I don't know if that info will help you answer or not, but there it is anyways!
