I have a beautiful image in my mind of my wedding with cherry blossom trees lining the exterior of the wedding hall. Is it possible to rent smaller cherry blossom trees?
Where could I do so?

You can rent trees from a variety of sources depending on whether you want live or silk ones. Most nursery's will not rent trees/plants that are in bloom but you can always ask though. Silks are usually available at your local party rental store. You can also purchase them from your local "buy all your stuff here" store. Also remember, to move a real cherry tree that is in full blossom...you will loose all of the blossoms. They are very delicate and blow away very easily. To compliment your decor for your wedding/reception, you might want to check out:

There is decor there that you might find interesting.

You can rent trees, usually from a party rental place. You just need to ask around in your area. I'm not entirely sure about cherry blossom trees but if you buy a tree with a similiar shape, you can go and purchase some pink flowers from a JoAnn's or a Michaels' and attach them to the trees yourselves. It'll be cheaper that way.

I'm sure there are places that rent out trees and such for big events. Best thing you can do is call local florists and ask and/or call some local nurseries.

I'm sure party rental places would have silk ones....call around and ask. Check with florists as well. Also, check with the venue where you're having your wedding, they have resources that you can't imagine. I doubt you could rent live trees though, first off, it would have to be while cherry trees are blooming.

If your in Richmond try The Boathouse (it used to be called Sunday Park) it's about a 30 minute drive from downtown Richmond.. but it's GORGEOUS.. it's right on the lake.. you could have an outdoor ceremony or an indoor... just book in advance, it's extremely popular. Also, another great place is Maymount..they have gorgeous gardens (or you could just take pictures there)

Party rental places. You can get everything there you imagine. I rented an archway for mine, they had tons of greenery, trees, & candle holders as well. Shop around, I'm sure it's more than possible.

In the city where I grew up, the City greenhouse had plants and trees for rent. Check with the parks dept. of your city, or florists may better guide you in the area.
