Weddings - December 2006

My father doesn't really want anything to do with me, so I am asking my closest uncle to walk me down the aisle. And at the reception it will be him dancing with me instead of a father/daughter dance. I need some suggestions! Please help!

I am getting married next summer and as a wedding favor, we are giving away a recipe with a cookie cutter. I am looking for heart cookie cutters, any size. I need about 150-175 of them. If anyone knows of any websites or stores, help would be appreciated.

Im getting married at march 2007...I would like to know different kind of habits/traditions, what we could use in our weddings. Im not originally from Usa so it is really hard for me to know anything about these things,my culture is so different. We are gonna mix and match both of our heritage, but how to do it, I dont know? Sorry, I just needed a place to vent, and wanted to know if anyone here is in the same boat as me.

I was so dissapointed this Christmas when I didn't get a ring. I had a little bit of hope that I would get one then since my birthday is also on Christmas day. :(

I am getting married in June and my fiancee and I are only have a maid of honor and a best man. We are not having anyone else stand up for our wedding and we are having a hard time thinking of gifts to give them for the wedding. Im getting married in Santa Ana, California at the Waverly Chapel. I am looking for a reception hall. Preferably a hall that I can cater myself and not have to pay $30.00 a plate per person…

I have gone online and looked at all kinds of halls and hotels with halls…but they change an arm and leg…I just need an empty place that I can set up. If any one knows of the area and can help me, please do…

My in-laws raised three boys all of whom are married. I am married to son #2. All three of us girls are good, moral, intellligent females who love our husbands, who are equally great guys. But our mother-in-law is another story...she just spends her opinion and says whatever she thinks, and can be tacky about it ... advice? (and be kind, we do love her!)

Here are the problems:

1. He has 3 kids and only wants 1 more through marriage but, I want 2.
2. He wants a vasectomy (but I don't have any kids).
3. He is still paying on the house that his ex stays in but doesnt help me financially at all.
4. He thinks that marriage should be 50/50. I think that the man should be the provider and the woman be the homemaker. So should he be half the woman too?
5. Everything that we talk about as far as the future is not promising for me.
6. His family is really rude and mean.
7. It is hard to compromise with him unless I talk until I am BLUE in the face.
8. I am starting to become numb to him.
9. I am starting to loose my libido with him.
10. I am strting to get tired of the countless dead end conversations about our future that we think differently about.

I am 25 yrs old and have finally found the man of my dreams and we are looking at getting married soon and my mom keeps bringing up me wearing my sisters dress. My sisters got married a bout 1.5 yrs ago and is 4 yrs younger than me. I know where and how to get the marriage certificate and have already found an ordained officiant. However, what about all the other details. Like the changing of the last name. Do I have to fill out seperate paperwork for that? Any relevant information from anyone who has eloped or had a very small wedding would be appreciated. Is it ok to register at 2 or 3 places, or is that considered "rude"?? I dont know what is the proper ettiquette for registering for my wedding.
