No it is never inappropriate to have a bridal shower for a new bride. You are both starting a new life and should have new things. Anyone who thinks it is inappropriate does not have to attend. congratulations!

Yes, a bridal shower is for her & she already had one.
That being said if you want to have a party, honoring the Bride, inviting only the grooms side of the guest list (plus mom & sister of Bride) Go for it. They never attended a shower for her yet.

Yes. Proper etiquette for bridal gifts is only for a "never before married" bride to receive gifts. It is okay if the groom has been married before, but the bride should not have been married before. Basically the gifts are for helping a bride set up a new home - if she has been married before she has already received household gifts.

'The bride may have a bridal shower if someone offers to host it. (No relatives should host unless they are part of the wedding party) However, anyone who came to a shower and gave a gift the first time around is not expected to bring another. Remember that showers are optional parties and are really in place to help the guests feel like a part of the planning since most women getting married today aren;t really in need of help setting up a new household. Host a giftless shower...

A bridal shower is given FOR the bride, not by the bride and is always apprioriate as long as the bride is not asking for one:)

technically, yes, but why don't you throw a bridal "party" not a shower? a shower is supposed to provide you and your hubby with the necessary things to set up a home. you've already done so, but why not have a party where you state on the invite that presents are not needed, just the guest's presence to celebrate the fact that you will be the most beautiful bride on the world...again!!! best of luck!

I think it would be okay considering they are starting a new life together, and most likely the bride doesn't want to take things from a previous marriage into a new one.

No. Why would you bring her past into it? She's still going to be a bride, isn't she?
