I would think Alaska would be amazing...probably very expensive though.

Find a National Park that you'd like to visit and plan your trip around that. There tend to be lots of inexpensive activities in these areas. One of the best things my wife and I ever did was by a National Parks Passport (they're little books you can get for like $5). When you go to any National Park you can get a free stamp with the date that you were there. We plan all our trips around National Parks now!

Mammoth Caves in Kentucky is a pretty cool place. There are some beautiful state parks in West Virginia and Pennsylvania too. Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone are beautiful. I haven't been to Acadia in Maine, but I've heard it's beautiful.

Really depends on what your interests are. My wife and I got married in February and went to Hawaii, which was expensive but we had a great once-in-a-lifetime experience we'll never forget.

Niagara Falls overlooking one of the wonders of the world. Stay out of the Casino though if your trying to safe cash. Ha!
