My family and my fiancé's family and our friends are religiously diverse. My mother's side is Baptist and Catholic, and my father's is Methodist. His family is Episcopalian and Baptist. We have friends that are Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu. We are not particularly attached to any religion ourselves. What kind of service would satisfy all of our families, but not be too heavy-duty religious or offensive to our various guests?

Does any previous bride have pictures of their wedding/ceremony where there colors where burnt orange and dark pink color? Did you have a theme that went with the colors? Can anyone think of a theme to go with those colors?

I need help! I'm a very indecisive person. Do I elope in a fancy island wedding with just my parents and his parents there? Or have a traditional wedding? My fiance has 5 children, I have none. Kids are excited about being in a wedding and singing at the reception, but it's so expensive! All I really care about is having my father walk me down the isle. I've been debating this for 3 years. What should I do?

My fiance and I are baptist but our church is way too small to accomodate our family for our wedding ceremony. We want to have our reception in a ballroom in town and there is a beautiful presbyterian church right across the street that would be perfect but I didn't know if this was acceptable for us to use it. I know we would be asked to pay a fee for using a church other than our own and that most churches will let you use the church along with your own pastor, but is it ok to use the church if we are not presbyterian?

My boyfriend & i have began to plan our wedding. We have a serious problem concerning the ceremony. I'm atheist, he was raised Christian but is seriously beginning to doubt the existance of god (we met in an atheist chat room). The problem is that i want no mention of god, no prayer, no religious undertones etc in the ceremony. He became very upset, his family are strong Christians & he felt that it would be a huge insult to them & disrespectful. He suggested that we comprimise. How the heck do you comprimise in this situation? Mention god and say a prayer in one half of the ceremony, and not in the other, that makes absolutely no sense. My beliefs would still be disregarded. I care deeply about his family, but this is OUR wedding. I'm not willing to cheat myself to please his family. If it was actually HIM that honesly wanted the prayer and mention of God, i'd be ok with that. But he flat out said, "I just don't want to catch grief from my family". What do i do?

I heard of a site where one can design her own wedding dress and the computer gives the lady suggestions on where to get a similar dressed that she designed. Does anyone know if this or something similar to it?

I'm a scrapbooker using Creative Memories products (also a consultant) and am looking for wedding invitation design ideas that are easy, classic and NOT computerized-looking. Anyone have samples online where they can post a link?

I wore ballet slippers and they were incredibly comfortable. I'm so glad I did that! I know a lot of women who have spent the day in pain.

How did you save up the money to get married? I want to get married so bad, but I don't have the cash to do it. I don't want to elope, I just want to know the techniques that everyone else used to save up some money for a wedding...I really don't want to hear how your parents paid for it, that'll make me feel worse!

My fiance and I were together for about 4 years. The relationship was absolutely amazing. We stayed with his parents for a while to save money for our place. Unfortunately, his mother did EVERYTHING for him. She paid for his car, his gas, and the insurance all he had to do was drive it. So, we sold that car and got him a nice truck- his payments, in his name. Now he pays for it all. We were suppose to move into our own place on July 1st. We'd even gone shopping for things. Then all of a sudden- it's over. He picks a fight with me about a car stereo, tells me to get my things and leave and his reasons? - You have too much attitude, I don't want a relationship, I'm concentrating on my dirt bike career, we weren't giving the relationship 100%. Okay...The ring was on my finger and we were going to Mexico this Oct to wed. A lot of people are saying he's scared and getting cold feet. But everytime i speak to him he says he doesnt want a relationship and I should date if i want to... read on

I'm not getting married until September of '07, but every time I dream about the big day. I'm never prepared, meaning I'm running around still looking for my dress, I still don't know whose doing my hair, it's just a mess in my dreams. What is going on?

Another question? I went to look at a reception hall yesterday, it was pretty nice. They're going to provide a buffet style dinner for a total of 200 guest, my centerpiece for every table and decorations for $3000.00. Is that good or is that too much?
