Singles & Dating - 17 May 2007

Ok here it goes..its been 3 week since I got the phone call for a "break", do you really think this was the right thing to do? Sure there were problems in the relationship..but who doesnt have problems in theirs? Im not too sure what i should do? She said to be patient, and maybe wait till the Summer is over and we can see then. But I feel like I'm in limbo..with answers that I need answered. Belive me I love this girl, and I'd do anything to have her back with me again. I dont want to do the wrong thing and put more pressure on the situation. I'm 33 she is 28. She say we weren't a good couple. Now all I want to do is make things right. I know she loves and she knows I love her. What should I do? Should I be upset about her over the phone deal? Or did I really deserve it, which I dont think I did. Can you enlighten me a bit? My heart is broken. I really care about us, and her. Thank you

If you have an awesome first date with a guy, and he kisses you at the end of it, then have a good second date, and ask him to call you if he thinks you're worthy of a second date... you dont hear from him for a week but he winks at you on a dating site, what are you supposed to think?

Their is this girl I like. I have asked what to do before on Yahoo answers. Many people before suggested that since me and her are friends, I should ask her out. But I said no because we weren't like best friends, we are just friend. So I never asked her out.

Now from what RUMORS I hear going around in school that she is going out with this guy Mike. Now I don't like this guy Mike just from the start, I never liked even before I heard this rumor. What do you think? Do you think I should ask her if she's going out with him, and then if she's not I ask her out. Or should I just mind my business, and say that's life. Or something different you may have to advise to me.

i need your help... I have everything in my life, im in good shape, i have money, im young (19) , im smart and i have a fun personality. But i dont get out that often. I've already bought my own house and car WITH my own money but i feel like i missed out on the whole college experience because i didnt live on campus and just moved to a city where i know nobody. Its really rare that i'll meet a girl that i find attractive, and i have standards too. I try spending more time on campus, but most of the time im alone. I'm all alone in this city, with nothing to do but work out and study. i want a girlfriend but i dont want to settle... what do i do?

I've posted questions in the past that have asked if it's possible to meet male friends and a significant other if you're an unattractive guy. I've had people say yes, perhaps about of pity I don't know. I'm a well groomed guy, 6' tall, military hair cut, brown eyes, brown hair, and dress in a business-casual type of fashion. (button down shirts, khakis etc.) I don't have an attractive face, but I'm not obsese, or have a whacky hair style that would draw attention to myself. Yet, today while waiting for a bus, a group of good-looking teenage guys screamed at me. I've had people do this about 10 times over the course of a couple of years. Which makes me think that I must be a freak if teenagers feel the need to say s*** to me when I'm walking out in public. I don't know what to do anymore. The people I want to be accepted by the most treat me like s***. Is there any way someone like me could meet firnds and someone to care about. It seems hopeless. If someone makes of this

We were high school sweethearts and have a little girl. We lost contact for a while (he couldn't deal with being a dad), but have been back in touch for about 6 months. He's a great dad now and matured a lot. I'm engaged to a great guy. My best friend and my ex boyfriend just told me that they've been dating the past 6 weeks, but wanted to wait to tell me until they were serious about each other. I was going out with this one guy for almost 2 years. He broke up with me about 2 weeks ago and i was devastated. I cried everynight and sometimes during the day. Everybody knew how sad i was. A couple days later he asked out my best friend, and she said yes! I havent been talking to them much lately, because i'm very mad. I don't think this is how a real friend would act. I purchased 2 baseball tickets @ $150 for my bf's birthday.
I showed up late for the game because I had to take a shower.
He got really mad at me, saying that I should have known better not to take a shower and be late. I said I know how long the game is going to be so we don't have to show up that early. He says, he likes to watch the game from the begining, so it is important to him to be on time...so it's like giving him a "half gift" by being late. I said, I went to so much trouble to get the tickets, drove through traffic for an hour to meet up with you, and now I have to go watch a game that I don't even care about. Not only do you not appreciate my gift, I get a some kind of bad attitude from you. I still went to the game with him but we both didn't have fun. We are still not talking to each other because of this. So if you had to decide who's more on the right side....who would it be?

I told my boyfriend I want to wait till marriage. I know both of us love each other, and he said my views are his views, but everytime we are around each other, he tries to have sex. I love him dearly but he says he knows he can wait, just doesn't believe in marriage after sex. I wonder how is this possible when other couples can hold on. O.K Well here's the scenario (and what I did);
Girl:...and he said he could find someone much better...

Me:He doesn't know what he's talking about, you're the best there is.

Girl:You're so sweet, you know that?

Me:*akward feeling*Yeah, heh.


What are you supposed to say when someone says "You're so sweet"? It just feels akward.
And while I'm at it, what do you say when someone says "You smell good". Should you just say, "You do too" or something?

ok..well there's this guy that..would always tease me.i thought he never liked me at all...so i figured what ever if he wants to bother you it's his problem....anyways..he started to be less irritating..and become more like a friend...we were in the same music class and he showed me how he could play his instrument..so we were gettong along good...i got his email because i wanted to talk to him online...we talked about anything and were getting along..he told me that he had this secert that no one new and he told if i promised not to tell he would tell me...so i promised and he told me.....the secert was that he liked me....i was so shocked because i thought he hated me....he Really liked me....i didn't even know why...so..that was the first part of the secert..there was another part that he told and that part was even more shocking..it was that he wanted me to be his girlfriend....when i read that i was so shocked and i felt kind of bad...because i never liked him that way..(more)
