Guy to girl or Girl to guy. It's all the same. Show interest in them, listen to there line (whether it's BS or not). Most people tend to be more interested in what they have to say. Rather than what you want to tell them. Occasionally you will find someone who tends to be shy & quiet. When you find out what they like, ask about it.
This also helps when dealing with others: such as in job interviews.

guys like to hear about themselves and guys like more if they can talk about anything with you and if you can relate or not and they also like it if you don't talk about girly stuff and if you listen to what they have to say! guys like to hear about their favorite sports team cubs, cardinals, BEARS, soxs, dolphins blah blah that kind of thing so try that see if it works ( THEY DON'T LIKE IT IF YOU TALK ABOUT TO MUCH BOY OR GIRL STUFF THOUGH)
