When I was in high school I was fat, nerdy with glasses. In college I am now the man I have the biggest toned muscles and the baddest urban wear. When I came back home to visit I turned those same girls who never noticed me in high school. How great is this revenge?

I have recently started seeing a guy, who has told me he still has contact with an ex-partner and does not care how I feel.
He has no children with this ex-partner and from what he has told me his ex partner had left him twice. When he told me he did not care about my feelings I tried to break up with him and stated he needed to sort himself out. He got scared and said he wanted to be with me, and that his feelings for his ex where dead and buried but he still continues to discuss his ex then accuses me of not puting any effort into the relationship or opening up to him more, He has continued to discuss what he did in his past with his ex each time they were together then compares me to her and has a huge smirk on his face each time he discusses her.. My confidence and self esteem are truly gone. Each time I have told how I feel by the way he treats me he just looks straight through me and tells me to stop carrying on. what should I do?

I am 46 yrs old, single, employed, drive a decent car, and am not even a penny in debt. I've been told I am not bad looking, I have a good sense of humor, and despite my efforts to keep from learning them, I have good manners. I was raised to be a gentleman. That dosn't mean just opening doors for ladies, but it includes treating them like equals, with respect, and with compassion. Women aren't a plaything or a servant. They are a companion, a confidant, and a friend. I don't drink, don't use drugs, and don't believe in organized religion. What am I doing wrong?

Even if and when you do leave the bad boy for the nice one sometimes it comes off like settling, then you say something like " he's stable" or "he's a good provider" stuff that never matters with the ahole. Insights? Observations? Feedback? Are any of you with good guys your truly hot for? Do you still wish you could have turned the bad boy you were with before your good guy?

I am 31 and a mom of two. He is 39 and has a kid. He says that he likes me and wants to be my friend and see if it goes somewhere. We are just friends. He obviously likes me... it is very obvious in his manner, eyes and the way he is around me. He wants to be friends because he thinks it could become more. I am not like that at all. Either you think I am worth the risk or not. At least think I am worth it enough to date me casually and take a risk. I want to spend the rest of my life with someone. I spent 6 years of my life waiting for men that I love and now believe that if it is meant to be, it will happen without anyone resenting the other for waiting around. I am not interested in having 'guys friends'. I dont' do that well. And I am not introducing my kids to single guys. So I just don't do guy friends. To me, if we are not dating, at least casual. Then you are wasting my time away from my kids. Why 'just friends'. We are ALL scared. But isn't the potential of love worth the risk?

I'm 16 and am frustrated because I've never had a boyfriend. I'm pretty, blonde, thin, smart and the nicest, most compassionate person you'd ever meet, but I am very quiet and that may be one of the reasons I've never had a boyfriend. But I just get upset because I don't know why a guy dosen't come up to talk to me or do I just have to wait until I'm out of High School? Please help!

I have been living with this guy for almost three years. We've broken up, taken month-long breaks, and always end up back with eachother. I thought that he wanted me back as much as I wanted him, but lately I am not so sure. He has been doing things behind my back. NOT MAYJOR THINGS, but lying about little things that make me wonder. He bought himself a cell phone yesterday, but last week he said we would get a shared plan together. I found it, and he said that he wasn't going to tell me about it because he doesn't want me calling him all the time. Today is my bithday, and although he is completely aware, he doesn't care. He even told me that I shouldn't make such a big deal out of birthday's, and they're just another day. He doesn't seem to want to devote ANY time to me, not even on my birthday! I wouldn't consider myself high-maintiance, but he just doesn't seem to want me around anymore. What do you think?

Have you ever liked someone or was interested in someone and when you told your friends they thought you were crazy or that that person wasn't good looking? (or some other reason)

Ok, I have a guy friend who is in his 50's. He has a live in girlfriend that he says he is not in love with but has been with for 7 years. We have been friends since last year and we talk constantly on the computer. (He's a musician and rarely home.) We have great conversations and are physically attracted. Sometimes he talks sex, but I shoot him down and he changes the subject. We have had plenty of opportunities to have sex, but he always backs away from it. We still talk inappropriately, and we used to cuddle in public, but not anymore. We went out shopping last week and even though he called his girlfriend his wife, he still grabbed my hand when we walked in the store. My question is, what does he want with me? If he's got one thing on his mind, how come he won't allow sex? Does he want more? Is he just talking to me to get off? We are very close friends and we listen to each other's problems, and I don't want to ruin that. If any guys can help me I'd appreciate it!

So I'm 5'9 and I'm seeing a guy who is a little over 5'4. He is really great, but we get a lot of laughs for the height difference. Should I keep dating him and put up with the jokes from my friends and family or just be friends?

I am 31 and a mom of two. He is 39 and has a kid too. Well he says that he likes me and wants to be my friend and see if it goes somewhere. We are just friends.... I think that is a cop out. If you like someone, you take the risk and try being a couple for at least a month and spend time togehter that way. He obviously likes me... it is very obvious in his manner, eyes and the way he is around me. But he wants to be friends because he thinks it could become more. I am not like that at all. either you think I am worth the risk or not. I like to move fast. I want to spend the rest of my life with someone. I spent 6 years of my life waiting for men that I love... I don't wait anymore. If it is right, then it would happen. He wants his options open, then he can have them open.. but I am not interested in anything more then just seeing him very occasionally on a friendship level. I intend to be a VERY casual frind. Am I wrong to feel gilted? I don't 'do guy friends' very well at all.
