I'm not coming from any religious standpoint, but WHY do people think its alright to divorce when there are children between the two people? I mean, if theres abuse involved, thats one thing, but parents tearing apart a family because theyre "unhappy" does NOT seem okay. It is SO much harder for the kid to grow up with one parent. All the people i know with two parents turn out so much happier (usually) than those of us raised by one parent. Who disagrees with me? Why?

this could be a book, but i'll condense. 5 years ago, i met this guy at work, we hooked up, (he was a 32 year old virgin) hello, red flags, and we ended up married. he has never made a secret of the fact that he likes models, movie stars, blondes, blah blah blah. very immature, mamas boy, blah blah blah. he has improved some, but i cant get past the things he has said in the past. No, he hasnt cheated on me, but i dont really trust him. if someone came on to him, i'm sure he would oblige. he hasnt the balls to come on to anyone himself. he doesnt communicate, is somewhat emotionally abusive. works every day, doesnt drink, or beat me. i want out. the clincher is that he is borderline intelligent, and i feel sorry for him. Will someone who can be objective help me? i made a bed of misery, and i cant stand the thought of the future.

Help! My fiance has 5 kids. I love them dearly, as I have none besides them. However both moms are drugged out, abusive, money hungry, vengeful women! The courts are no help with us. One mama owes over $3k, the other wiped us clean of over $40k in a divorce settlement her infidelity caused! They cause me and the kids so much stress, yet the kids still love them as their moms. Meanwhile I feel like the one doing all the raising, getting no credit and losing my shirt! I love my kids, but sometimes it feels like all I do is in vain. Should I marry my man? Or is this just too much to deal with for the rest of my life? We've been together for 3 years and the Mama Drama still upsets me.

My ex-husband agreed to and signed our divorce decree. In that decree, it specifically states what I'm entitled to. I didn't ask for much. Just my personal belongings and my share of the house (he bought me out). Our divorce was final on December 16, 2005. I've contacted him multiple times and in different ways (phone, email, and family messengers). He will not respond and I'm still trying to get my things. We're talking pictures, my son's childhood drawings and toys, etc. He says he threw them away. My next step is to have the police department escort me to the property to retrieve my belongings. I live in a completely different state and hate to make the plans just to find out that he HAS thrown them away. Any thoughts, suggestions or past experiences? As a sidebar, our divorce was uncontested and we used the same attorney just to process the paperwork. It was completely amicable until he found out I met someone else (way after our divorce started).

I have a new boyfriend and he thinks most marriages fail bc the wives are not okay with new sexual expierences i.e. 3 somes, so they go cheat. anyone in their right mind would NOT be okay with someone else touching who they love. Am I wrong with this? My other boyfriend who unfortunatly I broke up with a few weeks ago thinks that a couple is a couple not a 3 way thing. give me ur opinion.

It wouldn't be an issue, but he slept with her while we were dating. We worked it out and then got married. Even though he says he can't stand her, they see each other a few times a week because they have 2 kids. It gives me knots in my stomach even when they talk on the phone-about the kids. He says he is completely over her and is so in love with me, but I'm still going crazy with not being able to trust him!! Oh, he left HER and she still loves him and would take him back in a heartbeat...

When my dh and I first met, I had stopped smoking and he was a smoker. I started smoking again since we were together all the time. Before having our first child, I stopped smoking and so did he. Then he started again and so did I. I stopped prior to finding out I was pregnant w/ our second child and have not started back but he wouldn't stop. I'm seeing problems in our children's health and wonder if it's to do with the smoking. It's also causing a lot of problems in our marriage because I hate that he smokes. The smell makes me want to puke and this doesn't bother him one bit. He still wants to love all over me yet I'm disgusted by the smell. What can I do to get him to stop? Knowing it affects our children's health doesn't seem to bother him nor does the fact that it's messing with our relationship.
