Marriage & Divorce - 12 June 2006

When I was 19 I got married to a wonderful man. Then we had a little boy a week after we were married. Well he began to leave me alone to take care of the baby myself. He would stay out until 11 or 12 at night. And he kept choosing drugs over me and my son. Well I felt like he didn't want to be with me. Then his brother was there for me when he wasn't. His brother told me he liked me then we started seeing each other and I slept with him one time. Then I realized when I made my husband leave for a week how much he really loved me. He called everyday to see me and the baby and wanted to be there. So I ended it with his brother. About 9 monthes went by and I finally told him about me sleeping with his brother. Now he is in ohio and I am in south carolina. He says he will be down here but I don't know if he is really coming back. Everything changed after that day I told him. Should I believe he is coming back or give up??

I've heard of so many things about marriages with Cubans, how they would take advantage of you to get out of the country and then leave you, etc... Can anyone tell me if they've gone through a situation like that or do you know DIRECTLY a person who has gone through it? Has it turned out good for anyone? What are the difficulties? Any advice? My husband has done some things in the past two years, like drinking himself stupid and punching a hole in the wall, not coming home and waking up on the side of the road miles past our home when I was overdue with our child, Pulling a gun out (not aiming it at us)and threatening us with it. Not wanting to leave a party and walking home drunk when I left, Shooting my cat (sober then) and telling me I am a crazy B*t%h for saying he has a problem. His parents want me to be patient as he works things out. Mine are offering to buy me a house near them. He has controlled himself for three weeks and still drinks 3-4 a night but helps out around the house.(which has no porch or flooring due to projects started but unfinished.) He loves us I know. He wants to be better. I promised him and God for better or worse. He brought me jewelry and flowers this w/end. Help!

Been married for 12 years, long years. This has been the second relationship in my life as hers. We used to talk, hold hands, little touches here and there. We have 2 kids, things have been going down hill until now. We are holding hands again, little touches here and there, but I find it still a little hard to talk to her like we used to. Don't get me wrong, things are better than when we first met except the talking thing. We used to talk about anything, past sex partners, girlfreinds, boyfreinds etc. Have you had a similar experiance? Do you have any advice?

I'd like to know before even considering popping the question. I guess the statistics tell us that 60% of first-time marriages end in divorce....and that 35% of the ones that decide to stick-it out for various reasons are unhappy, unsattisfied and some of those even begin affairs. What do you all think? Is it worth it in this day and age? What is it that we need to change in ourselves as individuals and as a society to change the concept of marriage in this century to make it successful? I'd really like to hear from the ones who have been there and the young hopefuls that can give us new and innovative ideas

my man doesnt care if he has sex or not im in my prime he is 8 years ynger than me and its not one of his most inportant things. im a sex freak though so it does cause conflict sometimes. he isnt cheating on me he has always been this way. when he does do it he loves it. its like the urge isnt there. when we have sex he doesnt do any touching or kissing but he rocks in bed as far as sex. he used to be an alcoholic but he has been sober 4 mths now thought it might be that. but he does smoke alot of weed maybe that is why. he has always gotten high even before we met. ok i need some answers are there anyother 26 year old men who say sex doesnt matter to them they can go without or the urge isnt there?
