Think about it this way. If you have already decided you are going to break up with (or stay with) your girlfriend/boyfriend, is there anything your parents could do to change your mind? Odds are, no. It is the same with them. They are married to each other, not you. It is a real bummer that they are having problems, but the bottom line is, it is their relationship and it is up to them to save it or not. Nothing you do will change that.

You may not know all the reasons they are breaking up. Let them do what they want and keep from picking your favorite. It takes guts to admit a mistake and even more to do something about it. It could have been easier for them to live a lie but their willingness to deal with it is a good thing. Their getting a divorce is not the end of the world and hopefully the support will be there for you from both of them. Perhaps their breaking up will let you see more of the reality of life. Gain from it and be positive about what lies ahead.

Honey, I know it is hard to watch the two people you depend on seperate, but in all reality, If they are not happy with eachother anymore, then they are doing what is best. That way your life won't be so miserable to hear them fight all the time. There is really nothing anyone can say to make you feel better, but I hope everything works out. And it will. Things always happen for a reason. Good Luck.

I don't think there is a way for you to keep your parents from getting a divorce. You should want your parents to be happy and if they are no longer happy together then they shouldn't be together. Its hard to hear but they need to do what is best for the family and if its separating then you need to let that happen.

Work on your father. He is the one that can cinch the deal. You usually twist him around your finger--so use that tactic. Tell him how broken hearted you will be if he is not around all the time. Cry at the mention of them breaking up and let him see you cry. Become his little girl again. I know it sounds bad, but it can be awfully bad if your parents divorce.

Knock them out. Take them to a very out of the way wooded area. Leave them there. If they manage too work together and survive for a week then they probably won't get divorced. If thhey don't, well jsut hope they don't find out it was you.

I don't know what you can do when people have made up their mind to divorce. Remember that it's not your fault if it doesn't work. You can always talk to your parents about how you feel about the situation. Good luck.

well I never experienced it but see if this works.
try to make them realize how cool of a couple they are.
tell your dad on how great your mom is.
go up one day and hug both of them and say " I love both of you guys, you two are the best parents in the world, and the best couple! "
or ask them .............. " are you guys gonna....(gulp)... get a................divorce?" and start with the watery eyes.
i hope your parents don't get a divorce
best wishes
GuitarMann
p.s. Good luck

well you cant acutally keep them from divorceing but i think that you could prolly talk to them bout it but i think that if they dont want to be together anymore than that is their choice and they are going to make it wether or not you like it but i think that i would try to get them to be happy with each other and do thing that they used to do when they had fun and stuff like that
