My ex and I have been divorced 4 years now. My 8 year old is very attached to him. It's to the point were it's obsessive. She called him 7 times today, she always cries for him. When he brings her back from a visit she cries herself to sleep. You would think after 4 years she would get used to daddy not being here. I used to let her see him almost 50% of the time, but the crying for him got even worse then. There have been people who asked me if he had ever been inappropriate with her, cause she just cries so much for him, it doesn't seem right. Is this normal?

I've gotten some really good answers on this matter and I just feel like I need to help my husband, whom I love more than life. But he won't quit the drinking and we are still sleeping together when he comes around and tells me he misses me and loves me, and we miss him alot, he's great when he's sober, but I don't know if he will ever change. But isn't that what marriage is about? Support through the worst times too? But I am afraid for me and my children. What do I do? Try to help or just try to move on?

My child turned 18 at the beginning of the year and he is out of school now as of early June. His mother and step dad have taken steps to put him in an expensive college -over 20,000.00 per year. I have had to save money where I could and not have some of the things I always wanted--I have never deprived my child of anything even though my ex had the child pay for school lunches with his own money--I paid for things beyond support. Without consulting me as to what I wanted --we have a joint legal agreement-- they enrolled him in a major university--I wanted him to go to the local community college as to where the costs might be in the area of 2,000 to 2,200 per year that I could afford. Can they take me to cour to pay for those inordinately high costs. I'm retired--to me that is way out of line--what do you think--here in Illinois. Yes he is a very smart "A" student. What can people like me do?

She apparently had some unfullfilled fantasies. I don't have a problem with it except that now with me she want's to be little miss angel. Says that with me its special and she doesn't want that in her life. Thats fine too but hell she won't even talk dirty to me. All in all I quess it just kinda hurts my feelings that she can't turn loose with me like she does with others. By the way our sex is great just kinda simple compared to others I've been with. Anybody else ever have any problems similar to this, any suggestions?

we had a pretty rough 5 years and it started to get abusive, involving drugs and alcohol, on both our parts. I feel like he is my soul mate and I can't get him out of my head. He says he still loves me and we still sleep together when we see eachother. But will he ever step up and take care of his family? I miss him every day, and can't stop being lost without him. I don't know how to move on, or get him out of my head. I wish he would clean his act up, but he won't quit drinking. I just don't know what to do to move on.

He makes between 75 to 100 grand a year. He works in the trades. He has a kid and a wife who stays home. Some months he will make about 8 grand and others 3 grand. However there are periods when he is flat broke due to no work being around.
What can he do, he is also a compulsive shopping addict.
But he has toned it down.
His wife tells him to pay all the bills and he says dont worry about it (because he gets a check the next week) so he goes and spends it on whatever.
He doesnt listen to her or me.

never get taken to the doctor or the dentist? This chic's daughter has been walking around for months with an absess on her gum that is oozing puss and her son needs medication for ADHD and she will not tkae them to the doctor. Her exhusband does not have insurance available to him at a reasonable cost so the kids are on medical assistance through the state the father lives in. The mother only lives an hour from the state where the kids have insurance coverage. It would cost her $0 to bring them to the doctor and/or dentist. She moved out of state 2 years ago. Since then she will not bring them an hour away to get medical care, but threatens constantly to take the dad to court over everything. She comes to the state to party, shop and for her medical appointments, but not her kids. She spends money on her cosmetic surgery yet her kids are suffering. The exhusband has a new family and other children he's obligated to support. The exwife also makes more money & owns a business. Opinions?

I just found the copy of my certificate that the minister gave us when we got married, and I never sent anything in, and never got anything from the state acknowledging our marriage. I dont know if its the ministers job or mine to notify the state.

Now that I don't need to wear them, what should I do with my engagement ring in particular? It has a 1ct radiant cut, with .40 on the sides (very pretty). I was thinking about selling it for cash, hold it and sell it at a good price to my little brother one day, or make a right hand ring out of it. Any suggestions?

i asked a few questions about cheating b4 and most of u sided with my husband. wat about this? we were talking about the situation(again) and i told him(again) that i didn't think it was a big deal since i only made out with a couple of guys(no sex). he said cheating is cheating. so i said what if it was a couple of girls? he said that was different. that wouldn't have bothered him. wtf?!

my fiance just let to go on a personal/business trip for 1 week and after he left, I suddenly felt very,very sad, I was crying, worthless, insecure. I think depressed.
Another time he left, I didn't feel anything at all. In fact, the whole time I was perfectly fine.

The reson I wan to leave is verbal abuse I want to take my chidren with me. My wife got really pissed off at me because I went to the casino last night. She doesn't understand that before I was down $500 that I was actually UP $250. If she wouldn't have come down there and dragged me away from the slot machine, I would've gotten our money back. Now we need diapers but we don't have any money. I keep telling her that I could easily get more money, if she'd give me her Mom's credit card and let me go win it at the Pai Gow table. We could pay her mom back, buy the diapers and maybe save a little to move out of her Mom's trailer.

She's not being very cooperative and I don't know how to get her to just get the card for me.

Somebody tell me how to talk some sense into her!! PLEASE!!
