take your marriage license to the social security adm. and they will ask you exactly how you want your name on the card. then take your social security receipt to the driver license office along w/your marrriage cert. and theyll give you a new one as well

I got mine changed last year but call your local Social Security Office. I think you have to bring your Marriage license, an ID/DL, and SS card to the Social Security Office and fill out a name change form. From there you go to the DMV and get a new DL with your new name.

Ok - if I'm understanding this correctly - what you need to do to get your name changed is go to the Social Security Office. You might want to call ahead of time to see what documentation they will need from you since all offices are different. But I do know you will need your social security card and a NOTORIZED copy of your MARRIAGE LICENSE.

Social Security has a form to fill out ( and present a copy of your marriage certificate) Also take the marriage certificate with you to change drivers license, bank accounts, credit card... It pretty simple.

With the signing of a legal document (such as a check) with your new married name... your name will change. Then you apply for a change of name on your Social Security Card and go get a driver's license in your new name. Thanks for not doing one of those hyphenated married names. Congrats.

you've already changed to your new name...you go the social security office and get a new social security card with your new last name on it...for your mail, just fill out like a change of address form with a name change on it

Your name is already changed by your marriage certificate.
You need to officially change e/thing yourself....
ie, Your work, drivers's license, Social security, bank account, other accounts, charge card, mail, magazine subscriptions. EVERYTHING.....

You go to the ss office and take your marriage license with you . Then you go to the highway dept and do the same.
