Friends - September 2007

I found out today a friend I had lost touch with died in June, I had searched his name on yahoo today after he was in a dream of mine & his face looked a bit messed up. When I came across an article & obit that he'd died in a car crash. I feel so sad that we never got back in touch before he died. Do you think this dream was his way of letting me know he'd passed & that he was still my friend even though we had lost touch?

I am 15 girl and he is 16 boy. We are best friends for more than one year. We never miss each other even a day. Mostly we spent time either at our home or his home. Cool, now is the concern.

He is great at studies (me too) and he is really good at Swimming, Rowing, Skating, Foot Ball, Fencing, Chess, Tennis and ........ Of all he is great in Bible studies. He plays guitar, Piano, drums and of course great with key board. Its just amazing to have a friend like him. He speaks English, French, Spanish, Arabic a little and Hindi a little.

I am equally good in studies and music with him. I am good at vocal too, where he lags. I speak English & French.

Still I feel I am nowhere near him. He has learnt all those things through his child hood tho. Am I compatible with him to be his "BEST" friend? It is only my feeling deep inside me. But he is always happy with me he really likes me and my family, the same way I do like him and his family.

I'm 20 years old and turning 21 this week. Well, i have a couple of good friends that are pretty close to me that we go to the same college. I really dont have that many friends that i hang out with besides them but i have a lot of acquaintances but don't really talk to them. Anyways, this weekend i want to go to the casino and play some poker.

I asked my 2 buddies to go and right now we are seniors/5th year seniors in college. My buddy and I both have 2.8-2.9 GPA's so we are not doing that good. My buddy sort of agreed with me and said sure we can go this weekend since its your birthday. But today i talked to him and he said no. He told me to stop thinking about that and focus on school. I told him dude its just one day.

He say he will go but in December after the semester is over. Basically celebrating my 21st bday 3.5 months later if you will.
So should i get mad at my friend for this? I mean we dont have any exams or big assignments due since we just started semester.

I have a best friend that I have been with for four or five years. I met her through my now demon ex girlfriend and we became friends and stayed that way after. So she went through a guy she was with for 2 years and he hurt her so that was that. Then she was with another guy for another year in which we didn't talk. He beat her, verbally and physically, and raped her all the time. She called me, I helped her, a year later she's closed to accomplishing her career than ever. Not much detail but hey. So we did stuff you know but within our friendship not relationship. Agree or not, it helped us get over our pasts. Then after this long, she does something to me so unbelievably horrible, it makes me question to ever see her, talk to her, be there for her, or take care care of her again. Things will not be the same, but what would you do, put yourself in a situation of your own details no matter how different and try to feel the same way. I need advice (Ex; do I stick with her?)

haha - I am, and I do. I'm a little on the weird side though. I mean, I so don't hold full length conversations with myself (I might be weird, but I'm not crazy) , but yeah, i'll just be thinking out loud, or talking to myself . . . . it's pretty funny. Embarrassing too, if there is someone near you, and they're like "Um, sorry, what did you say?" I'm always like, "Yeah, sorry. I was kind of talking to myself. yeah." . . . . . I am alwas running into things or people, or tripping up the stairs (haha - all the time in high school), or tripping over my feet. I think it's okay to be a little clumsy. I think that everyone is clumsy, at least a little.

i've been in alot of problems this year.
one of my friend who is a photography like me .
started ignoring me. i asked one of this guy(a chinese fella) , why is she ignoring me , she said she's declaring war with me. well it means me and her not gonna be friends like it used to be.
and the guy who i asked , i fought with him about some uncopyrighted pictures, and he's saying im ripping her photos she took for me. i even did credited to her.
well fk her, herself even didn't credited me and she's writing (her own name) photography on that particular image that i took for her. i didn't even said about that image, after all this have been started i started deleting some of my image in friendster. i was too heartbroken and was callen a dead ripper.
and she deleted me off deviantart.com
how could she. sigh , hope anyone could just help me and wanting to move on.

We've been friends for 7 years , since elementary school. She is jelous of me because she got fat and she sees that naw I am the one who gets attention from other man. my friend. She wasn't at practice today so the whole team broke out into conversation about how she was an awful soccer player and that she doesn't even try. Which was true, but I still didn't feel comfortable about them saying that about her. Then they started gossiping about her personal life with her ex boyfriend and what they did together. Which even though that was true, too, didn't deserve to be published.

I asked them to stop talking about it, but they wouldn't. I tried to change the subject, but they just ignored me.

I don't think I did the right thing...I think I should've tried harder.

What should I do next time?
I don't want to tell my friend because she would be heartbroken. I was just gonna tell her to be careful who she says stuff to.

SHOULD I tell my friend?
What should I do next time the team brings her up?

I feel awful.

My best friend is BI, & she's dating a chick right now. I'm str8. Her girlfriend gets jealous because she feels that my friend pays more attention to me than her, but she's been my friend for many years, & she doesn't intend on marrying this girl. My friend's girlfriend has many friends, & my friend is my only friend. If my friend turns against me for her girlfriend, who she's thinking about dumpoing anyway because of her girlfriend's immaturity, then I'll have no friends & no one to emotionally support me. My family doesn't even support me. Her girlfriend dislikes me & makes fun of me & is trying everything in her power to turn my friend against me, & I'm scared. Why can't we all be a happy family? Why does there have to be hate & choosing?

***If you were in my friend's position, would you leave a perfectly good friendship with me for a chick you're dating but can't get along with or leave your woman & remain friends if you felt forced to CHOOSE? I'm not trying to make her choose.

Ok, so I have this friend named Lila and sometimes I ask her to pick me up when we are doing stuff together. Tomorrow there is a club meeting and since my mom is out of the country and my dad is working I asked her if she could take the notes for me at the club since i wont be going. She said maybe I will ask my mom if she can take you. I said gosh, but your mom is getting so annoyed of me. because she is she like hates me and My friend is chinese and she doesnt have a lot of other friends so she doesnt know anything about common courtesy so a few minutes later she called back and said" yeah my mom can take you but she is getting frustrated with you and she said that she won't do this in the future and this will be the last time..." little harsh dontcha think? and once she even told me what her mom said about me she said that her mom said " that you shouldnt hang around with her too much because she isnt the smart type, she is the type that doesnt take her grades seriously" .....errrrr

My best friend is a bit on the heavy side, and shes not very pop., my other best friend is gorgeous, and has 4 pack abbs, and is one of the most pop. girls at my school. She has had a joke with the guys about a beachball. Well we just figured it out today, it was that my bff was fatter then a beachball, so they would walk by her and say code beachball. Of course, i was pissed. My friend was crying. I went up to my other friend and said I seriously want to wish you luck on the bball team this year cause your out of your freakin mind if you ever think i'd play with someone that would diss my friends like that. Now she's upset cause the whole team is mad at her, and they are going to get screwed without me on the team. Cause im the only one that can shoot 3s and im the tallest. So, theres this girl who I've known for a year now. We became really good friends last year at school and I felt like she was really one of my close friends.
This year, we both started a new school together, and I thought we were still cool until one day I was walking behind her and heard her talking sh*t about me. She didnt know I heard her though.

I told a friend a secret about reading my sister's diary. I told him not to tell her about it. Even so, he went and blurted it out to her...I know this because my sister told me he told her. So I went online and I asked him if he told my sister about the "secret". I asked again to make sure but he said no a bunch of times. I sort of believed him but I wasn't that stupid, so I went to check with my sister again. She said he was obviously lying. I got mad because he lied twice:
1. about keeping the secret
2. lying again when I asked him if he spilled the beans

His reason to back up his saying of not lying is that my sister ASKED him to. He "didnt tell her", but got asked. Sure...right, he got asked to tell. Which he did. I think he was trying to look for a loop hole.

Would you consider being asked to tell a secret basically breaking it? I got so mad I yelled at him over online. He's not an honest friend..I feel like I can't trust him..which is pretty sad.

Lately my friends have been really bitchy 2 me. They r 3 boys called David, Jack and Dan. I've been friends with Jack n Dan 4 3 years n at 1 point Jack liked me loads but I didnt go out with him coz Im not alowed bfs, n he was OK with that. I met David about a year ago we liked each other LOTS anyway we got over it and everything continued as normal. David is also friends with Jack and Dan. Lately David has started being really nasty to me (called me names, blocked me on MSN, ignored me at school etc). Anyway we made a band David on guitar me vocals Jack on drums Dan on bass. Weve only done a few songs and we were always giving each other tips and stuff, but today they kicked me out of the band n Jack says its coz I wasnt a gud singer but they said I was gr8 b4. Also Jack has been sayin realy snidey stuff like sexist comments, now Im just sick of them n its gettin really annoyin also Dan keeps asking me out its drivin me crazy. Shud I ditch them n get new friends who appreciate me? x

I'm 33 and have been happily married for 7 years.My husband and I had a great marriage until my best male friend who I had known for ten years died In a car accident.I was devastated and just a complete mess.I couldnt think straight and made many,many mistakes during that time.I said some horrible things to people who cared about me and did drugs and anything else I could to try to escape reality.I ended up having a 3 months long affair with the brother of my deceased best friend.Getting caught was a huge wake up call for me and I'm honestly trying to get help and get my life back.I'm terribly sorry for what I've done to people and it just doesn't seem to be enough for my husband.He's contemplating divorcing me because he doesn't know if he'll ever be able to trust me again.What am I supposed to do?How can I make him see that I deserve anothe chance?

I recently had a new flat mate move into my rented place (my old one wanted to move home). I met him a few times and turns out he knows lots of my friends etc, we got on great, so felt happy about him moving in.
Since he has been living there we have got on really well and I feel really comfortable with him being there - it's like we have known each other for ages.
However, at the weekend, someone let slip that he does something he shouldn't. I was a little shocked, but at first thought I would turn a blind eye. Talking to some mates at work though, I have realised that if anything comes back on him - I'm probably likely to get in trouble too aren't I?

So I have this friend who, whenever she gets a boyfriend, can never seem to talk about anything else. I know almost as much as she does about the guy and I haven't even met him!
It's so annoying! I just wanna tell her to shut up or change the subject. When I try to change the subject for her, all of it just ends up going back to him! It's one of those "all roads lead to Rome" kinda things. I'm happy for her, but really it's getting old! I don't know if I feel this way because I'm really tired of the topic or if (secretly) I'm kinda jelouse, because I don't have a boyfriend.
