So I have this friend who, whenever she gets a boyfriend, can never seem to talk about anything else. I know almost as much as she does about the guy and I haven't even met him!
It's so annoying! I just wanna tell her to shut up or change the subject. When I try to change the subject for her, all of it just ends up going back to him! It's one of those "all roads lead to Rome" kinda things. I'm happy for her, but really it's getting old! I don't know if I feel this way because I'm really tired of the topic or if (secretly) I'm kinda jelouse, because I don't have a boyfriend. Though I don't think her guy is attractive, at all (not to be mean, just honest).
What do I do?

tell her she is obsessing and the conversation is bordering upon obnoxious...

let her know that you dont mind hearing about the boyfriend, but a little goes a long way.

if all else fails tell her to shut UP... i would.

Just tell her! I don't think your jealous your just sick of hearing about or talking about this one topic. If she is a "real" friend then she should understand and respect your wishes. I would be nice about it and just be like " look, I am really happy for you and I think it is wonderful that you have found someone that makes you happy but, I would like to talk about something else it doesn't mean I don't care or I don't want to ever talk about him again (even though it sounds like you would like that) I just would like to change the topic for now.

Just simply tell her that you don't mean to be mean to her but tell her that your a little jelouse cause you don't have a boyfriend to talk about. And since I don't have a boyfriend to relate to your boyfriend can we talk about other things when we get together.

be like im saying this as a friend shut up about your boyfriend i dont want to know about him. a true friend will listen to how you feel me and my best friend do it all the time sure we fight but were still best friends. i even tell her if i hate her boyfriend and if i think he is a dick ill tell her.

and its ok to be jealous everyone gets that way!!!

p.s. always remeber a great freind will listen to you and not assume things if you get what i am saying.

you tell her, nicely, that you're really happy for her because she's so happy in her relationship, but that it gets kinda old talking about it all the time. if you put it bluntly, but nicely, she'll get the point, and hopefully won't take it too seriously.
