My best friend is a bit on the heavy side, and shes not very pop., my other best friend is gorgeous, and has 4 pack abbs, and is one of the most pop. girls at my school. She has had a joke with the guys about a beachball. Well we just figured it out today, it was that my bff was fatter then a beachball, so they would walk by her and say code beachball. Of course, i was pissed. My friend was crying. I went up to my other friend and said I seriously want to wish you luck on the bball team this year cause your out of your freakin mind if you ever think i'd play with someone that would diss my friends like that. Now she's upset cause the whole team is mad at her, and they are going to get screwed without me on the team. Cause im the only one that can shoot 3s and im the tallest. I dont want to quit but i dont know what to do! Help?!

Good for you for sticking up for your friend I never did understand why someone who is pretty pop.and can get any guy she wants finds it necessary to pick on someone not as pop. as her. The worse thing you can do here is leave the team because you will be hurting a lot of other people that had nothing to do with the whole episode. If i were you i would tell your so called friend if she wants to remain friends with you she is to apologize to your other friend. If there were more friends like you in this world we all would get along much better.Sounds like your parents did a good job in raising you.

If you let people get away with being cruel to your friend then you are no friend at all. Of course you had to speak up because you ARE a good friend. Your friend is upset because she is being picked on and ridiculed and those who pick on her intensify their cruelty because you have chosen to defend her? (or did I get the friends mixed up, it is hard to follow pronouns). This is how mean people behave, to call others fat or stupid or 'insert insult here'. You jumped to the idea of quitting the team because it is the best leverage you have and I must say, it got their attention. You have called them out and I would be looking for an apology for your friend. Seriously, they should be ashamed of themselves. Since it is a team involved, you should talk to the coach about it. As a coach myself, I have handled situations like this before and am sure your coach would love to know what is going on.

Good on you for sticking up for your friend!! You sound like such an awesome person and wonderful friend!! :)

This other girl sounds like a bit of a *****!!

The whole team SHOULD be mad at her, not only because she ruined having you on the team, but also because she acted like an idiot!!

I'd stay on the team but drop your friend. If she can say that sort of thing about your friend, what would she be saying about you.

it extremely is how I see it. If he did not have the sense to make a bona fide apology to then you he's a lost reason. Any apology he subject concerns is valueless considering's going to be compelled by ability of somebody else. do you decide on that? you may desire to could desire to lose some pounds or not. it is your call. yet, stupid is perpetually and that i will provide help to be attentive to your instructor is caught with that. greater advantageous to hold some greater pounds or not than to be stupid any time and on any day. show delight interior the shown fact that this instructor is stupid and additionally you're actually not!

i don't think punishing your team is a good way to convey your feelings to your (former) friend. she knows you're upset. you could try to stay on the team and just avoid her the rest of the time.
congratulations, by the way, on demonstrating true friendship.
