Family - November 2006

I live in such a country where the avarage salary is 300$ per month! The prices are high. The rent is about 100$ per month, so people have to work on several works. I really love my country. It is very beautiful and it's my home. But what I want in life is to travel to many countries, to see the world, to do many things what I can't do with such money. So I decided I have to move to some other country. But I feel so scary. I soul tears between the love to my country, my mother and the desire to see the world and at least finaly to use the foreign languages I speak not only on-line. I really love meeting different people and different cultures. What will you recommend me? I really don't know what to do! Thank you. Maria

My sister is 2 years younger than me and I am 26, and today she cried in front of the family saying that she feels hurt by me becuz we are not close. She say that she wants us to have this tight bond and we dont and it bothers her. I agree that we are not close but i have no interest in being close with her. My sister was two faced with me for years and always thought she was better than me...........now that she is older and knows a little more about life and see that pretty girls make bad choices jus like so called ugly girls like me do-it has bought her down to reality a bit and now she wants to be close. I forgive her for all the stuff she did to me but i have no desire to be close with her. Also including the fact that we are so different and live different lifestyles. She like to always be on the go and I like to relax at home.

Am I wrong?

Im 18, and 6 1/2 months pregnant, i moved to south carolina a year ago, and now i really want to go back to montana, but my boyfriend doesnt want to leave the beach area.

i just dont know what i should do, maybe some advice would help

ive tried telling my boyfriend that i want to be near my mother, and that it would be very important to me for my Great-grandparents to meet there Great-Great-Grandson....does anybody else agree...

sometimes i just feel like packing it all up and leaving, but i couldnt take his child away from him, i dont want my child to never know his father, because personally ive been trying to find my father for 10 years, and still no luck...and he already said if i left, thats it, nothing


so what would you do???

my father has always been hot tempered but he has gottin worse with age. my stepmother has always tryed to get rid of me scence i was 10 im now 14. my boyfriends mother has offered to take me in do to the resent drama in our house. my boyfriend lives with me so i dont think they'll mind us being together but my stepmom seems to be trying to break us up i love him dearly and plan to marry him. but im scard my stepmoms troubles and hallsiling my take its effct.p.s my father dose nothing with out her consent.

I'm turning 19 tomorrow (the 13th). I have a 3.8 GPA in college and I even work full-time. The apartment we're living in is under my name and I let her have more than half of my paycheck for utilities, rent, and whatever else needs to be paid, I only take out money to pay for school. The thing is, my mother is extremely controlling. She doesn't want friends calling my cell, or my even hanging out with them. Those are friends that she doesn't even know personally. Sometimes she makes suggestions and expects me to accept them or she'll get super pissed and then start yelling and/or never ends the lecture.

We were living with them, and moved out, right next door. His step mother disciplines our son and tells me what kind of groceries to buy and even where to buy them. His father told my mom that I was lazy and did not do anything to help around the house. They both criticize my husband and I constantly. We decided not to spend thanksgiving with them and told them we were going out of town. His stepmother even had the nerve to ask why we did not come over to their house anymore. They are so intruding on my husband and I. Any suggestions on what to do?

My dad kinda has a temper problem and when he gets angry he REALLY REALLY gets angry. He's already broken my arm twice and my colarbone in one of his "episodes." I really wanna tell someone but am to scared to say anything. ANd my dad is all i have left. My mom died when I was 4 so this is the way its been for years. I feel like i wear a mask everyday at school because everybody always says I'm lucky to have been born into a rich family and how they wish they had my life. He said the turkey was dry and ok for a beginner..I admit it was a little dry,(turkey is often dry no matter who cooks it) but then, as he ate the turkey I cooked he went on and on and on about what a great cook his aunt is. My parents are really p----ed off at him now. Thay said the dinner was great..I am 28 this is the first time I cooked Thanksgiving dinner.My BF spent the morning and afternoon with his son (things are not great between his son and I, details in my other questions if u are interested) then came home around 4 just as my parents and I were sitting down to eat.

Well, my mom died less that 11 monthes ago and she divorced my dad when i wuz only 4 years old i am now 10
i just am so upset she had anorexia, bullimia, and she drank alcohol constantly. imagine your mother your own flesh and blood who took care of you for as long as you can remember just suddenly gone oh ant to make it worse she died 2 days befor my b'day and h funeral was on my b'day i just cant get over this pain. help me

She left for 20 years and came back 2 years ago (when I called her to let her know Dad was ill). She's the baby of the family - since she's been back our brother died. She's always in financial trouble. When our bro died we both got quite a bit of money from him--I've still got most of it (I did buy a new used car!!), she blew the whole thing on a new car for herself and a truck for her hubby, even tho their house was in forclosure! She could've saved the house!! Now she's boo-hooing and and they're gonna move in with Dad and probably spend all his money!! I need to protect him!! I don't give a big rat's tail about inheriting anything--but I do need to make sure my Dad's taken care of and that she's not going to lose his house!! We both have POA.

Hes 9 years old. I find that punishment escilates his temper, but my wife babies him and my daughter confronts him.This seems to be breaking the family apart. He says "i hate you" and tortures the family to the point of my wife crying on daily basis.
Please Help me...its just that i don't want to take this to the point of doctors and such.

Well ok so I know most of u are gonna say im “over-reacting” but im not she said it with her own mouth. she said tht she hates me. I mean I kno im not perfect. im messy I procrastinate so on but.. still ya kno it hurts. im only 13 but still. the thing is. when im with my mom I can never see my good points because it seems to me shes always pointing out my bad ones. im startin to feel really down. how do I get myself to not care wut my mom thinks, WELL not “not care” exactly but to not care when she points out all my bad points and stuff. cuz its hard. please help me out. all advice appreciated.

I took drivers ed in high school and made an A+. After drivers ed my folks refused to further instruct me on how to drive, they would always put it off or say they are too nervous.I'm now 19, my sister is 16 and they let her drive without her permit alone. She has access to car if needed. I drive better than her but no one will teach me. I have no physical or mental handicaps, I'm not promiscuous I don't drink,smoke or party (like she does), I don't hang with the wrong crowd. I'm a college student with a 3.6 GPA, I maintain my grades(she doesn't). I have my own refrigerator and I but my own food I work and pay bill at home, every since I was 17 But when I asked why they never taught me how to drive or why they won't teach me know, they respond with 'I don't know'
I know that my parents favor my other sisters more, I have no where else to go and no other family members to turn to (my family favors them the same way as well..What do your family doesn't support u or even taught u how to

... you get busted for smoking by your dad?

He just sent me this sms-

"Where did you learn to pick up smoking, school is it?"

I have a few answers I thought up of; I'll give best answer to anyone who can provide a smart rebuttal for me (besides my own that is lol)

1. No actually, from you. :)

2.Oh gee, I dunno. I happened to pick it up because I was surrounded by it night and day in my own home *rolls eyes*

3.Since people are smoking everywhere and I'm a passive smoker, I get most of the cigarette's **** and not the nicotine, so might as well i smoke since i'm getting 2nd hand useless smoke. What gives man.

THEN, I might add:"Who the f.u.ck gave u permission to go through my bag?"

Take note, I'm Asian, and Female. I'm from Singapore actually so... yeah.

I have liked one of my best guy friends for 3 years. I know that he has and i'm pretty sure stil likes me but wont come out and admit it. There are times when he acts so weird around me that I cant stand it. Then there are other times when he's around his friends (their my friends too) that he doesn't seem to care. Then a couple weeks ago he was basically acting like he was my boyfriend or somthing. he always goes through these phases where he seems so in love, then it dies down and then picks up again and i'm to the point of screaming.
