the holidays. it makes me very uncomfortable. what would you do?

I always look at it this way it was the way they were raised and they just don't know any better they have not been exposed to our way of life. If they were adults prior to the late 50's that is just the way it was in the USA and in the south it was even worse. I am not saying they are right they are not they are not educated the way we were. It is sad I feel sorry that people had to live life that way of life and could never see that skin did not make the people. Our heart and our soul is what makes us. If they are out and out predigest rednecks just dont go let your husband go as it is his grandparents and they may have one good thing about them that helped shape your husband to be the person he is. I always hope and pray for the day when this is no longer an issue

Ok, sorry, darlin', but if your husbands grandparents are really "predigested", then you'll have a real easy time finishing them off for Thanksgiving dinner.

If they started in about their prejudice, I'd tell them I don't need to hear this and make an exit out of the nearest door.
