Family - September 2006

My daughter has a 'friend' from school who about two months ago they were boyfriend and girlfriend. he is 3 years older, does drugs, drinks and he is just about every parents nightmare. I tried to not make a big deal of it at first because usually when you do that you just make it worse. And I didn't know he did drugs nor did I know he was 3 years older. He looks her age. However I couldn't ignore the drugs thing so I will not allow her to hang out with him. Of course she see's him at school and I dont like it but now she is in trouble for hanging out with him and getting caught by the police for smoking. Am I wrong for picking her friends? She is 15 years old.

she's in hongkong today, to work as ofw... i miss her a lot... since grade 4, she left us to work abroad. when she came home and stayed for a year, i got my work in far place from them... unfortunately, we only meet once in a blue moon - this means once or twice in a year... and now... she's in hongkong... i only reach her by talking on the phone - if ever she calls, if she does not call, no talk... i really miss her a lot!

My fiance's two sisters, 21 and 14 are staying with us. They have been with us for two and a half months. They don't clean, and leave their dirty dishes everywhere. We asked them to clean one day and they argued for an hour who was going to do it. Me and my fiance work 40 hours a week and we have to clean on our only days off. Anyway, I told one of them (the 21 yr old) that her and her sister need to pick up after themselves because we work all week and can't keep up with the housework. She got pissed off and slammed the door and has been giving me the cold shoulder all night. I heard her talking to her boyfriend on the phone about me but didn't hear all of what she said. Something like I suck...how can she get so mad just because I asked her to help out around the house? Am I suppose to work all week then bust my as* picking up after them when they trash the house two days later?

Okay...well I have a cousin who is a bit rebel/crazy and she is disrespectful to my aunt. My cousin has always yelled at my aunt and my aunt has never been able to control her.

One day...they came over to our house for my party...my cousin and I have a good relationship so she wanted to stay to sleep over...my aunt didn't want her to stay...but my cousin insisted and yelled at my aunt and all this mess happened.

My cousin didn't wanted to get out of our house so my aunt grabbed her from the hair and pulled her out...my cousin ran away and my aunt left my house mad. We thought my cousin would take the bus and get home, however she stayed hidding behind some woods and later came back to our house.

Of course, she is a family member, so we couldn't say "You can't come in" so we let her stayed over the night and my mom told my aunt that she was here. My aunt got mad at my mom because we opened the doors to her...

Was this wrong? why?

to , oyu people out there wo say get over it move on and that sort of stuff pleas save your words for someone else ,cuz you know what i get anough of that at home from the people i know .now this is why i ask the ? well my family got hurt well the hole story is relly bad and there was another famly who's famly was invovled and well now . now that famly hates my famly for a huuge misunderstanding and for somthing somebody did who is in our famly by birth , but out beacuze of his coices ! and no i am losing my bf and the people who are like bros.to me and one of them i maby like i don't know life is just scrued up ! pleasdon't be mean to me ihave my famly who bad mouths the other famliy ( sertin peopel in my famly ) and i know some words may be spelled rong forgive me i an dislexic and i can't spell so u wan't 2 b mean save it for someone who cares .

Ok, my divorced sister met up with her old boyfriend. he is getting a divorce, lives in another state and has talked my sister into going with him on the road driving a tractor trailer. Told her he will pay off her house, give her kids 50.00 a week, and give her 500.00 a week, in return for a place to stay when he is home from off the road. She will be starting with him on the road in January, home for maybe 4 days, on the road maybe 14 days. The real kicker is: She has 3 kids. 15, 16 and 18. What do you think of all this? Is she wrong to leave her kids? I feel that she is. Oh, he did tell her if she wanted to she could stay home and he will send her money every week. Just want to know others thoughts on this.

I came out to my mom and stepdad 4 years ago. Sometimes they're ok with it, but most of the time they're not. My girlfriend's mom doesn't let us see eachother. She doesn't know anything about me and I want her to get to know me and see that I'm no different than anyone else. How can I talk to both her parents and mine without getting them upset or telling them things that will only confuse them more? It's been FOUR years, do I stand up for myself and make sure they know I'm not going through a phase, or do I sit back and let them think what they want about us? Please help, I dont know what else to do.

We have 3 children, 16, 11 and 4. The 16 year old and 4 year old are as sweet as can be, and we feel like we've modeled compassionate and caring behavior. However, he's as mean and inconsiderate as can be. He hurts the 4 year old on purpose and doesn't care, he refuses to apologize when he does this, and he could care less about anyone else. It's just so much the opposite of how we've brought our kids up. What do you think here????

My grandma turns senile couple of years back,and since then our family realtionship has deters badly and we are not welcome to visiting our grandma by our aunties. Our aunties even denies we are family and would calls us a property grabbers. Any advise, lawyers advice prefered.

ok i have a cosin 9 months yonger than me. i always have done everything in my power to get her to like me it dosent work. then my family tells me that shi just hates me but i know i have never done anithing to her shis my blood and i told her hundreds of time that blood is thicker than water but i just dont know what to do. why dose shi hate me what should i do?

He is not a trouble maker or anything he just has this terrible temper to those closest to him. He will go from being the happiest kid to hitting the car, the wall, or me or my sister as hard as he possibly can. I've caught him cursing at his GF too. The look in his eyes when he does this stuff is scary, he turns into someone else! He feels horrible afterwards but isnt that what most abusers do...hit their loved one and then feel bad so they try as hard as they can to make it up to them. This is very scary for me and i am afraid that it will only get worst as he gets older. Are these signs of what is yet to come when he gets older?

I am exhausted after a days work, there are toys, clothes everywhere, caked on food on the stove, dishes, cat crap overflowing the litter pan. She never seems to accomplish anything. (maybe a little laundry from time to time) And she has all day to do it when she has off. Even when she is there or not I get dishes done, baths, and housecleaning done around 11 pm. For example, she complains to me after i clean she cannot find something like a medicine dropper, cup, or a certain article of clothing, etc. If she would help out she would be knowledgeable about the whereabouts. Usally when i come home there are diapers to change, dinner to make and the list goes on and on. Im at my wits end, im ready to get my kids out of the house and take them to there grammmas.

My grandma and uncle doesn't seem to grasp the fact that I am old enough to make my own decisions. This friday I am supposed to be going with my best friend in the world Kayla to her moms house in North Carolina. We are supposed to stay until Sunday. My grandma said that I couldn't go. She doesn't get that I am old enough to choose where I want to go and where I don't want to go. I guess she thinks that because I am on disability for obesity, high blood pressure, arthritis, and dizzy spells that I shouldn't be able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. This isn't the first time this has happened. My mom has told her that it is unhealthy for me to stay at the house all the time. And I do believe that me staying at the house all the time like she wants me to is most of the cause of my rapid weight gain. It isn't because she cares and worries like she says. She just doesn't want me to have a life because she doesn't have one anymore.

So what should I do?

alright. here my delimma. My mother does not like my friend just because she do not like her parents. So when i go out and she asked me who took u i say another friend's name. I feel guilty because i am lying to her but if i told her the truth she would get upset just because she do not like her parents. wat should i do? there no point to tell the truth but it no reason to lie...

Here's the deal... my boyfriend and I moved into my uncles three bedroom home two months ago. We moved to save money for a place that we were getting renervated, though we are paying him rent in return. Anyway, my uncle, at first, said he'd love for us to stay. Even asked if we could stay an extra month to help with his bills. Well, just last week we had an arguement about something really small and now he wants us out and our place isn't ready yet. See, he's a very confrontational person. Very spiteful and coniving. I just need some advise of what to do. I've tried talking to him, telling him that the whole disagreement wasn't as serious as he's taking it, but he's standing his ground and he wants us out. What should I do. And I know the moving out part is pretty much evident. But I really want to salvage our relationship... he's family after all. Any suggestions?

My live in boyfriend is mad at me cause I washed his wallet for like the fourth time, I told him when we moved in together I have one rule about laundry, I don't mind doing it but I don't do pockets. He was warned! He now is ticked off cause his wallet is wet because he said I'm "too lazy" to check the pockets...I say he's too lazy to empty them when he takes the damn pants off to begin with, I mean how hard is it for crying out loud?? I am seriously mad at him now cause he is acting like this is my fault. Should I stand my ground or give in and check his pockets?? I feel disrespected since I do ALL the housework, ALL the cooking, ALL the errands, ALL the shopping...I don't work and he does and I told him that I think he could check the pockets to save me some time to relax....he thinks because he works that I relax more than he does. On the weekend he just does nothing and I still have to cook and clean...I think he can do one thing to help me that I asked!

about 2 years ago my grandmother kidnaped me when i was at a friends house, brought me back to her house and tryed to kill me. thank god for cell phones and i got the police to come and take me back home to my mother before i got hurt too bad. thing is i still wont speak to her and my mom wants me to forgive her. i dont see why i should when she tryed to kill me but my mom says that shes just crazy and its not her fault. should i talk to my grandmother again and pretend like nothing happend?
