Family - August 2006

We've done everything to try to help her, she isn't ready so we stopped. Now her parents have blown their retirement supporting her and we can't convince them its 'enabling' her. (They pay for her house, bills, groceries) And now they are broke, my grandpa had to take a job and he is in no shape for that.

i am having problems with my dad. lately i find it hard to do what he tells me to do. i don't like it because he stopped buying me stuff and it puts a bridge between our relationship. if someone can plase coach me on how to listen better i'd really appreciate it.

would you be offended if your daughter tried to help settle the kids down, or tell them to behave?

for some reason my mom does. i can't tell my sister to "quit running around like a monkey and act your age" without my mom going bizerk and going "you're not the parent!".

is this weird? i mean i'm 15 and SHE'S the one treating me like i'm 5 and i have no voice in the house D=

like restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, hotels?
I can't believe what kids get away with in American society these days. Frequently they get into an event for free or half price and while I pay full price, I am the one disturbed by their behavior. Anyone else have this experience? What to do? This doesn't seem right or fair. I actually think it is more the parents fault, not the children as parents are responsible for them while in public and at other times. What do you all think and what do you DO when you are being bothered by noise children while dinning or whatever?

I remember one time back when I was 13 or so my older brother and older sister decided to get back at me for telling on them and getting them in trouble. They spanked my butt good and hard with a set of ping pong paddles, I could barely sit down afterwards except on a pillow. My sisters friends laughed and giggled and I had sore bottom for 3 days. Anyone else ever get embarrassed by siblings?

ever since i was little i always loved to ask my dad for money and other stuff that i want and he would ALWAYS say yes. people in my school always call me a spoiled brat and i try to stop, but comercial adds, newspaper adds and computer adds make it very hard for me. i am now 14 and i've always been thinking about this. would i be like this forever? will people at school stop calling me a spoiled brat and daddy's little rich girl? i am not a person who actually likes all this attention and i want it to stop but its hard. what do i do?

I'm soooo mad at him words can not describe and he is mad at me! He said let him be! But I'm his sister and will not let him be that way. Our entire family accepted it but not me. I love my brother too much for that. He already has a boy friend. I think hes doing this to get me mad. Hes 23. I'm so ****** pissed off at him!!!! That asshole! Excuse my language.

Please take this as a serious matter, because it is. Our daughter's name is Michelle Evon Carnall, born 1965 in KS. She married Robert Lynn Burton of Wichita, KS in 1986. We were finally able to track him down 2 yrs ago, & he told us that 6 mos. after they married she disappeared while he was incarcerated. We have been searching for many years now. Please help us!

My wife is PG again and I refuse to tell my mother or anyone else in my famliy that she is. I haven't even seen anyone other than my older brother sence Feb. They Didn't tell me where they live. I've been in the same place for 7 years so the way I see it if they wanted to know what was going on they would come and see us. So is it wrong for me not to tell them that my wife is PG?

I just had a baby girl a few months ago. She's such a cute child. My boyfriend Carl and I decided to name her Penelope. She's 4 month's old as of last Tuesday. I don't breastfeed her, because I don't like NO ONE goin near my chachies. I've started feeding her Cheerios, but my mom says she's too young. I say my Mom should mind her own business; this is my child and I'm gonna raise her as I see fit. How can I get my mom out of my hair?

My son just turned 5 weeks and will not sleep unless I am holding him. I get him asleep and as soon as I lay him down he starts screaming like crazy........This wouldn't bother me but as soon as I pick him up hes back asleep....I tried to let him cry it out but after ten minutes of screaming I had to pick him up......any advice????? I also have a 4 year old who needs my attention and always holding baby is making it alittle difficult!!!!
