You should accept him the way he is. You know hes always been gay but now its just that you found out that he was gay. If you really love him you'll let him be. Hes a grown man and can't control who he falls in love with.

If u love him so much then why can't u accept him for who and what he is? HE'S GAY SO WHAT? He's still Ur brother, he's still blood. How is bein mad at him is gonna stop him from being the way he is? and who cares that Ur mad or pissed and why does he needs u to accept it? your getting yourself ALL worked up over the fact that he's gay THEN U HAVE THE NERVE TO ASK EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE,,, Why should we excuse u when u don't want to accept your own blood brother?
You say he's doing this to hurt u and what can u do to change his mind.
I got news for ya sweetie, U have a big problem and the problem is the person u look in the mirror too, because if u think he's doing this to hurt u and think u have power to change his mind( then your a 1000 times worst then people outside the family& on this earth who already refuse to accept gays)
He's not gay to hurt u( he's gay because that's the way he is and the way he's always been) u can't MAKE change his mind because it's not about YOU
You need to find it in your heart that if u love him so much as u claim, then u love him gay or not, because if it's in your heart then him being gay wouldn't matter.
So b 4 u ask for others to excuse u, excuse yourself and ask yourself " if the love u claim you feel for him is real and why "
" (I'M) soooo mad at him words can't describe"
" (I'M) his SISTER and (I )will not let him be that way"
"Our whole family accepted it but (ME)"
"(I )think he's doing this to get to (ME)"
" (I'M) so ****** pissed off him"
" How can (I) make him change his mind"
See you think it's all about YOU?
But he's the asshole? and you claim " I love him so much"
Yeah Right

When did this become about YOU? He is gay, he is still alive, he still is a part of your family, he will still be the man he has always been. So he will bring a guy over for Thanksgiving instead of a girl.... big deal. I guess you would rather he got married to a woman, had a few kids and lived a false and miserable life. What a great sis. We can only hope he wishes for the same for you. Grow up and snap out of it. You are being a pouty little brat who is too selfish to even share life with. Maybe you can give some thoguht to the things in life that really matter and leave this minor detail alone, silly child.

This is tough one. I am Christian and do not agree that homosexuality is just a alternative life style. God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve and it's that simple. I am glad that you have your own opinion, even though it may not be based on religion. Unfortunately there is pretty much nothing you can do to change a person. I'd state my feelings and leave it at that. If you feel uncomfortable excuse your self from your brothers presence(for example..if your brother and "boyfriend" are being inappropriate). I worked in a classroom with a weirdo gay guy and he knew how I felt about him, but I never disrespected him...but he got told off when he asked me if I would see Brokeback Mountain:(

You have a huge ego! How else would you think that your brother got a boyfriend just to spite you? You need to grow up and mature. Your brother probably had a hard enough time coming out and will likely be rejected by many people over the course of the years. His sister should not be one of them. Reconsider, maybe your anger is more sadness than anything else. Besides, there's nothing you can do to change his mind.

Unfortunately, you can't change his mind. Every gay man that I've ever talked to has said that they have felt "different" for as long as they can remember. I can promise you that he's not doing this just to make you mad. I'm sure that it was incredibly difficult to come out - if he's 23, he's been thinking about this for a long time - how much harder can you make this for him? If you love him, you'll want him to be happy. There are worse things that he could be - a rapist, a pedophile, a murderer... he could be that freak that they just arrest in Thailand. But he's not. He's just gay. Be supportive and love him for who he is. Life is too short.

Sweetie, I'm fairly certain that your brother is not gay just to piss you off. There's nothing you can do to change his mind. Being gay is not a choice. It's the way a person is born, and nothing can change it.
Make your peace with your brother's sexuality and make sure he knows that you still love him. Trust me, you don't want to be in some stupid lifelong argument just because you don't agree with this.

You can't change him no more than you can change the true color of your eyes. Contact lenses don't count. Really, you need to explore why this upsets you so much. He was born this way and it is not his fault nor does it have to be a bad thing if you just chose it not to be. Is he a good person? Concentrate on the good that you find in him and try to find the tolerance within your heart for people that are different than you.

I don't think there's anything you can do to change his mind. I can imagine how mad you are but think about how he feels. I mean put yourself in his position. Do you think it was easy for him to stay in the closet for 23 years?? How would you feel trying to keep one of the biggest secrets of your life from everyone you love and everyone who loves you for that long? It's hard and for him to finally do it and you to go into a little rage would be hard for me to take in too.
If you seriously love him like a sister should then accept him. It's the biggest thing I think anyone can do for someone they love. Acceptance for who they are. If he was on drugs that would be a completely different story. But I think the person who needs to change their mind here is you. I'm not saying you're a bad sister, I'm just saying put yourself in his position and take some time to think it over.

He's your brother for god sakes! He's not doing anything to deliberately hurt anyone at all, so why should you not accept him because he doesn't follow society's standards about heterosexuality? You, my friend, are being very judgemental. Maybe it's hard to get used to at first, but there's nothing you can do to change his attractions to the same sex. It's his decision and he is who he is. Love him for who he is, not because of his sexuality.
You can't change his mind so just live with it. He's still the same person.
