Any psychologists out there? My son has this strange but fascinating issue; and he’s had it his whole life. Ever since he was about to turn 3 years old (and I guess could comprehend the meaning of a birthday) he has hated to celebrate birthdays. He’d always cry when I mentioned that we were going to throw a party and he’d get presents. His excuse has been the same (he doesn’t cry now, he’s much older): “I don’t want to get older”. I’ve never come across or heard of any other child not wanting to celebrate his birthday or get older. I know some adults don’t like celebrating birthdays b/c it reminds them of their age, but a 3 year old? Any ideas?

he's smart, going to uwmadison in wisconsin, with a 34 on his act's. he gets along extremely well with adults, but as for his sister (me), he hasn't been nice to me since i was four..no joke. besides being mean and a social outcaast, helately has been very violent and abusive...he isnt athletic (he rode a bike last week for the first time in 6 years) , but is strong, he doesn't know the limits of his own strength, when he hurts me when he's angry, his slaps and kicks hurt more than he realizes, and he has a major anger problem. my parents say they are doing something, but they refuse to share their secrets with me. i feel i should do sumthn, what should i do?

My sister is a wonderful person and I Love her. But I think she is hooked on pain Pills. She had a car accident about a year ago. And got hurt really badly. She is back to her every day life. But she is still eating Hydrocodone like it is candy. I tried to talk to her about it but she had a fit. She functions fine, goes to work, takes care of her house and family. But I know she is taking at least 60 pills a week maybe more. Because I have picked up prescriptions for her. She is also mad at me because her husband over heard our conversation. And tried talking to her about it. What can I do? She is barely talking to me. And she is accusing me of trying to cause her trouble with her husband.

My dad has been away for awhile for his job. So it's me my mom and 3 other siblings. My mom is always yelling at all of us. Anytime my little brother and sister is doing something wrong she just yells. I feel bad for them. But she yells at me too. But since my dad has been gone, I've picked up the yelling too. My dad came back this week-end and he heard me yelling at my sister and told me I sounded just like my mom. It made me feeld bad because I want to be like my dad, he never yells, he thinks its a waste of breath. But could you tell me what I could do or how I could help my mom?

firt of all, we stay together in one house five people, me,dad,mon,two sisters.we work at big factory at U.S.a.we have four bedroom house in battle creek,MI.we have 3 cars, Toyota Rav 4 ,2002, 4 runner 2002, tacoma 2001.2 car payment is off now.ony rav 4 is still need one more years.we have comcast high speed internet and tv cable(basic cable), regular phone with at&t(regular service).and my mom earne about$ 25000 a year.my two sisters earned about $30000 a years each. I earned about $20000 a year.that earning is average if we worked overtime we earn more.I know my two sisters and my mom worked many overtimes.and my dad is hold every money of our earned. and he keep telling us we are not enough money for car,house,bill for i told u about.Oh we have air condition(central air) too.however, how come we are still in dept. I think he lie to us and he took all extra moeny after bill are paid. please think that for me .I am seriously. I need to know.I never stay myselve so i don't about that.

My brother is violent. Im 12 and he is 14. He grabbed my neck and pushed me into the wall and wanted to choke me but he let go. Then he smacked me and scraped my forehead. He dug his nails into my arm and now I have purple marks on me. This isn't I lie I swear. Please tell me what can I do. Some people think i'd die by 18.

I am 24 years old and the "peacmaker in the house". I have a child that depends on me and we live at my parents. I do not pay rent but have problems with my parents bad habbits. My mother is a chronic casino gambler, my father is becoming like her and he is an alcoholic. They were not like that before and I tried talking to them to let them know what they are doing is not the way. They dont seem to care much for my advice. I cannot tel them what to do since "they are the parents". I fear if I move out, "all hell will brake loose" I am unhappy living there but do not know how to tell them I want to move out. I am not even sure if moving is a wise decision since it will become an extra finance that is not cheap. This is causing me much stress.

I love my husband but he is so messy. He can clean up after himself at work, we both work in the same restaurant, but he can't clean up after himself at home. He cooks at work and at home. After he cooks at home he leaves it a huge mess.
