Rub his nose in and make him clean it up . Assumming that your stronger than he, if he does not clean it just make him sit beside it until he cleans it up. Be sure to tell him that the same thing will happen if he does it again and follow through!

First I would wonder what causes the six year old to poop on the floor? I know that this isn't an answer, but sometimes questions can help resolve a situation. Most six year old have their times that they do not listen. However, does this six year old have special needs? Perhaps that would be something to look into if you're not certain.

Is he actually pulling down his pants and pooping on the floor? Oh my goodness. I guess if this is the case then make him clean it up. And take away one of his privileges or toys. Hopefully he will get the picture soon. If hes having incontinence and just can't make it to the toilet. Frequent 2 hr toileting and wearing a diaper. As far as the listening mine just turned 7 and he still gives me a hard time about the listening. I think there ears don't actually start working till????

I am a teacher and have had many children do this at school Amazing how it stops when they have to clean it up. And make him/her clean it thoroughly the whole bagthroom scrub, mop, disinfect, etc.
You do need to call the doctor this is a sign of something else happening. To be safe call the doctor.
Also as of today go into the bathroom, tell the child what he/she is exactly to do. where to go, how to wipe, wash hands, etc. Tell the child nothing else will be accepted and the clean up that will be involved. Keep a chart in the bathroom for every time the child does it correctly and give him or her a reward.......small but, a reward when heshe goes correctly.

You know, children are interesting beings- I know, I have 4 of them. There are a few things you can try. First, if your child is school age, you can talk to the nurse and the counselor. The counselors are really good at offering things to try and sometimes they have "play groups" where they can just talk to the child in a play setting and try to learn about the real issue. Also, the nurse can help you with the poop issue- you may even want to call your child's doctor for advice.

Pooping on the floor is a way of asking for attention....don't spank whatever you do. Go see a doc and ask or an expert who helps you by observing your kid and telling whats wrong. This may have so many causes its hard to tell without knowing more. Good luck!

My daughter jsut turned 7 on the 13th and she was getting outta hand there for a while.......i used time out, sent her to her room, took toys away, took electronics away n it didnt work....then i resorted to spanking and i must say it has been more effected than all of the other means of discipline. Now when she acts up all I have to do is ask her if she wants me to spank her and 9 times outta 10 she behaves. give it a try i think thats y the kids today are the way they are....look at the older generations...they have respect and werent as much of troublemakers because they got their a$$ beat if they stepped outta line. I firmly believe in spanking and will continue to use it. good luck

i think it's common for 6 year old to not listen, but takin' a dump on the floor?!?! WTF! maybe there's some details that are missing. if it's an act of defiance because he/she is not getting his way, make him/her clean it up AND whoop his a**!! If it seems to occasionally happen without provacation, consult the child's pediatrician
