I don't have any spouse or kids, just a mom, dad and sister.

Does it just go to my parents?

My wife and I have be married for about a year and a half. We've had alot of problems during that time. We broken up with each other too many times. It has taken me losing her to relize that she was the best thing that ever happened to me. I've tried everything I know to try and win her back. But she dosn'et belive anyhign I tell her. I didn't treat her like I should have, she tried so hard to make it work for us. I didn't hit her but I know I made her hurt with the stuff I would say to her. But now I really want to make this work. But she has already started the papperwork for divorceing me. I haven't been served yet, but I know its coming soon. I really don't want this divorce. I want to contest it, but I don't know if that would do any good. What are my options if I do, if I contest ,can I ask the judge to order some kind of counselor to help us with our problems. Or is there anything else I can do to try and save our marriage. Thanks for any advice

Seriously dating an awesome guy from a very abusive background, like things you read on the news abusive. He's forgiven his parents and has a relationship with them, but as we get more serious, I wonder if he's more likely to be abusive as a parent, since he knows no other way. He's pretty laid back and easygoing and a great person. Is there an increased likelihood children from abusive backgrounds repeat that cycle, or is it usually overcome?

My mother and I are estranged. We last spoke in January, which was the first time I'd seen her in 2 years. She's had financial difficulties, and I didn't want my sister to be stuck with the burden alone, so I've been paying half of her bills for several months through my sister. She is aware that I help support her, but has never acknowledged it in any way. My sister and I have agreed that our mother needs to pay her own way going forward.

So now mother's day is coming up and someone made the comment to me that I'm obligated to send a card or to otherwise acknowledge that she is my mother. I don't wish her ill, but this woman is someone that I don't like or trust and I know that I'm better off being far away from her, where she can't hurt me mentally or emotionally anymore, as she always has.

So... what's my obligation? It hurts to have no relationship, but I've lived like this so long that I'm used to having no parents (father was absent and died many years ago).

Thanks

I admit, I have. One time was an unexpected sleepover at a dates house, and the other was a mix up. I picked up my boyfriends instead of mine.

Two years ago my husband and I separated, but never divorced. Together, we have two kids. In Aug 05 our children went to live with him as I had no place at the time suitbale for them. I was visiting them at my parent's house 2 days out of the week until Oct 06. In March of 06 my boyfriend and I got pregnant. In Oct. I was on bedrest, waiting for baby and keeping my other two children 4-5 days out of the week and still obligated to pay child support (400/mo). My new son was born in Nov. At a recent court date, the judge seen that I kept my children 4-5 days out of the week for 6 months and planned to continue doing that, but did not termintate the order. Back pay added up during pg. If I do not pay every penny of current support between now and the next court date, I will go to jail. Unlikely support will be terminated. About to lose place to live. Only way to support new child and these children is to give my part of the custody to my parents of my two oldest. Can I?

I'm a Christian Conservative. I believe everything in the Bible is true. I also believe that only through Jesus's death and resurection is heaven possible. I believe God met sex only for marriage and except under certain circumstances (adultery, domestic violence, etc.), divorce should never be an option. Do you have an recommendation concerning where I can a woman with my values, books on Christian dating, Christian dating websites, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you think a marriage is more or less likely to succeed if a couple moves in together before they're married? For arguments sake we'll say they've been together at least a year.

"Husband been acting strange, now asking for a divorce.. ??"

So, i talked to my husband today and he said some more awful things to me.. i KNOW there is something else he isn't telling me. He seems to sincerely WANT the divorce.

I've talked to his parents, trying to find out if THEY know what's going on with him.. and they said he's been acting volatile to them too. (They don't have a clue why either.. JUST because he can?)

My husband for some reason, wants to take our children from me.. even though i KNOW he can't do this as he has NO reason to. I'm not unfit or anyhting, i believe he wants to take them as some kind of leverage over me/to hurt me some more!

I don't WANT to tell the courts that i don't want him seeing the kids WHEN we divorce, but considering his current unstable mental incapacity.. i think that would be best for now. (Until he gets the help he needs..)

I read something dealing with guys who show how they feel about a girl, and that being a bad thing. From a girl's/woman's perspective, what's an acceptable level?

Although my last little fling was riddled with issues, I believe something I could've done better was control my emotions and not let her onto how I was feeling. I think for an instant I had things under control and then I screwed up by divulging too much. I think that kind of pushed her away.

My husband has cheated on me a couple of years ago, and when I found out I talked to her and she sugar coated it because she wanted to still have some conncetion with my husband. Once my husband told her it was over supposively the communication between them stopped. I don't know what to believe. I was wondering now at this point since we live on the opposite ends of the U.S. should I ask her what really happened? Do you think after a couple of years she wouldn't really care and spill it all? My husband as in most men, wouldn't a lot of times just come out and tell there wife everything. Also, who is to say she will tell the truth. But since this has happened I just keep wondering and it hasn't ever went away.

We have been talking through msn, and she says that we are a couple. She wrties comments to me saying that she loves me, and me too. But there is also some other guy in the profile, and she writes to him, "Take care, I like you."

Is that fine, or is something going on there, because that guy has her as the number 1 friend on his list. Or is this okay. What do you think? That guy is not family, just a friend there, and they dont know each other, only through myspace. She also wrote a comment to pick up his phone.

And, to some other guy, she wrote, "Beautiful, Im going already." And not a family member. But the thing is she has me as her number one friend, the other guys are number four and eight. What would you do?

I am feeling frustrated, irritated and angry. Some so called friends used me like a door mat. Before I thought I would just make distance with them. But now I feel angry with myself and with them also. Bcoz they dont even care a damn for me where I let them use me.
I want to take revenge. Do u think I should make distance or I should take revenge?

I recently attended a friend's wedding, and I brought a friend along as my "date." I was the one who received the invitation and the girl I brought barely knew the groom (my friend).

I'm preparing to send the married couple their wedding gift.

My question is this: Who should the wedding gift be from? Is it ok if it's just from me? Or should it be from both myself and the girl I took with me?

This is the first of my friends who's gotten married and therefore the first wedding I've been invited to. I'm just not sure about the customary thing to do with gifts.
