Yep, in my house, it seems impossible to keep them straight so we use whatever ones we can find. I realize this is gross....... I do, however, run it under hot water first which tricks my mind into thinking I have disinfected it when in fact, all I did was give it a little bath :-)

A person that can identify your won toothbrush by brushing your teeth is what I call stereability....it's the choice of feelings and taste.
If you use a different toothbrush and you are blindfolded, you should be able to tell the difference.

My ex husband was diagnosed with hepatitus C recently. The first question asked when I went in for a test to see if I was also infected was, "Have you ever used his toothbrush?"
I had used it but thankfully, tested clear.
Use your finger next time and keep your own toothbrush to yourself. Be safe.

My roommate accidentially took mine when he went to stay at his girlfriends house. Luckily, I noticed and had a back-up. He didn't know for a couple of days. Poor guy! He was completely digusted!

Not regularly but lots of times. No problems after I read that toothpaste kills any residual germs on toothbrushes. You are not going to catch anything if you are using toothpaste. It is all in your mindset.

I share my toothbrush with my children. Can't help it. If they can't find theirs, what am I going to do, tell them never mind? Besides, they've already accidentally puked in my mouth as well as the occassional diaper-change-shower...so I really have nothing to lose.

No, and once my husband used mine by accident and I threw it away. My daughter thought I was mean to do that, but some things are just not meant to be shared. I don't even like to share my bathroom with him.

Any mouthwash around? I wouldn't worry if he was well known to you , Just kissing him will give you just as many germs, etc. Just don't do it on a regular bases if you can help it.
