I have been talking to this guy for a few weeks. We went out & he was the perfect gentleman. I had to initiate going out because he wanted to make sure I was comfortable with us going out. We talk for hours & we have kept in touch since the date. Recently he went a few days without talking to me & I assumed he was no longer interested. We all have someone on the side when u are not in anything serious & I just figured since I hung out with my "someone" this weekend, maybe he did the same thing so I was not worried if he was not interested, but then he called me on Sunday & we picked up where we left off & I'm thinking maybe he is interested. Last night I had a family issue & needed someone to talk to so I called him. He was very supportive, he talked me through it & he made me laugh, he even seemed happy that I called. He is a country boy & I am a city girl & our approach is different, but I am wondering is he interested, but just waiting for me to bring it up or is he not interested.

I met this really lovely girl in a night club and we went back to her place and had sex. Then we arranged to go out for a drink then at the end of the night she drove me home. We are meeting up again soon and going out to dinner. What I want to know should I ask her for sex this time. The reason I ask is because I don’t what to spoil things. At the moment I am doing what I need to do, I suppose because I am hoping it turns out be more than just a fling. However at the same time I don’t what her to think I am just trying to get her into bed. Normally I just chat and ask if they what to come to mine or there place, but this a context I have not have much experience with. I suppose the thing is I am a decent man just don’t want to come across sweat and innocent, if this describes my point.

It seems like no matter what job he has he finds something wrong with not to the point of quitting but to the point of threatening that he will. He seems to find something wrong with all of his co-workers as well, even about the things he eats he finds something wrong with it or has some comment to make about it, like- it's too dry, what did you do different, this needs pepper, that needs salt. O.k. I understand the normal conversation at dinner and I vaule his opinion and I could care less what he things about my cooking but it's this work thing... It seems like he is not happy unless he is telling some one something to do, how to do it or bitching I am concerned there may be a health issue behind his behavior and there are some health issues going on with him but all tests are not done, he goes for more tomorrow - I feel like telling him to just quit his job sometimes b/c he gets so upset so easily!

They keep looking for a "soulmate" to complete them and it never happens. They take the term "hopeless romantic" and treat it like some kind of twisted honor. Please tell me what's up with this?

I got a message from one guy here, who tells me that I have no right to say that I feel abused unless I have brooses on my face or broken bones. He says that if someone punishes you with silence and walks away from conversation it's a sign of maturity. Personally, I think he has no clue. For several reasons: 1) you can not compare people and "who suffers more, and who less", "who has the right to feel down and who does not"; 2) some forms of abuse are subtle, but damage your self-esteem. There is a difference between being whiny or being manipulated in a relationship and sad. What do you think? I hate it when people are trying to define your reality for you.

Details - we have been married almost 15 years, we have 3 children. My husband has decided he is unhappy and wants to end it. I believe the majority of why he is unhappy is my fault because I am unhappy with myself. After a couple weeks of discussing this I have come to the conclusion that I need to fix myself top priority, however I am still very much in love with my husband and I don't want to give up. Actually this is two questions I guess. First off I am fixing my "depression" for lack of a better word and that is my top priority for me and my children regardless. My dilemma is do I just let him go and fix myself or do I fight for us? I really think that if I can be happy with myself again that it will help us. Next part of the question is if I do decide to fight for us do I just do it and see what happens or do I tell him I am going to fight for us?
