Theres nothing worse then holding something in and wondering why. Sometimes you just gotta come out and say it. THere is a fine line between bestfriends and boy/girlfriend. If he cares about there is always a chance that things can work out. Just tell him in a quiet lonley place that has values to the two of you.

I think if your feelings are that strong then you have to do something. Try flirting first and see his reaction. Give prolonged eye contact and look down with a smile. If he's looking at you weird or turns away then you know he isn't interested. However, if he stares back and when you look back at him you have his attention and he is smiling thats a good sign. Test the waters first before jumping in. If you are getting good responses then try touching his arm or watch a scary movie with him. Jump at the scary parts and grab onto him and see what he does. Chances are he does feel the same way about you if he spends a lot of time with you and cares for you. I really hope this works out for you! Good luck.

I know how you feel!! I am practically in the same situation!! But here is my advice to you, (sometimes its soo much easier to give advice than to take it) One day when you guys are hanging out simply (nonchalantly-not sure if that is spelled right) ask him, "_____, do you like me more than a friend" (or something that you feel you can comfortably say to him, you know him best) and then if he sayes yes then GREAT!! if he sayes no, are you kiddign your my best bud, laugh it off and say yeah i figured!! and go on with life, then you didnt admit your feelings for him and you made it into a joke and its not weird!! Good luck, i hope everything works out!!

Are you a guy, too? You mentioned that he was which leaves me to believe that you could be also and that's why it's so difficult for you to let the guy know you have feelings for him. What's the deal?
With me, if everything is straight and upfront with a friend that I've developed feelings for, I'd tell her. If she couldn't handle it, I'd move on. I don't need any females as "just friends".

Tell him through actions (just as long as he doesn't have a girl friend). Flirt with him. Or just go out there and tell him how you feel. If there's a least bit chance that you can have some thing really good together, go for it.

if I were in your place, i would rather tell what i feel than do nothing.
what if he feels something special for you, but he is just afraid that you don't feel the same way that he do. you're just missing the opportunity.
this is only my opinion, in the end you will still be the only one to make your decision.

I am glad he is a guy,
Sure tell him you care for him, see what happens. He most likely feels the same way and is thinking the same thing.
Good Luck!
