I'm 16, female, and in high school and I'm pretty sure that this guy likes me because all of a sudden I see him everyday after class.

But when I finally got a chance to talk him in group work he acts so mean and says that I act like I'm "too smart/cool for groupwork" and it made me speechless. He was nice before but now he's so rude to me for some reason. Why would someone do that...

My mom's been divorced twice, the most recent one is almost 1 year ago. She's been dating this guy for 4 months. I'm 16, my sister is 13 and she's never home. My mom isn't either. She's gone from 10 AM-1 AM on the weekends. I only see her for 3 hours a day during the week because of schedules. She used to be at his place all the time but now, even though she said she wouldn't, she's bringing him here all the time and tells me to introduce him to my friends. I won't, because its too weird and then she does it. It's too cliche. I've talked to her but she says I'm trying to dictate her life and getting in the way of her happiness. I've confronted him too, but he doesn't care about me because my mom's sleeping with him and he's old, like 55, and she's barely 40. He barely leaves my house anymore and my mom forces his company on me. Took him to my job interview, they drop me off with my friends. And she makes fun of me when she runs out of subjects with him. And once she hit me. Not herself

I noticed that a lot of folks would suggest "read the Bible", "go to Pastor", "Lord will save you". I respect peoples' beliefs, but how exactly does it help? How would a pastor be better than a professional counsellor? Personally, I am not religious, but I have a faith, and I don't understand how could believing in God help sort out your problems this very minute. If someone feels bad, they should take a phone and reach a friend or take a bath. Would it not be better, than praying?

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, and am in an abusive relation. Verbal, & Physical. He keeps threatening me and calling me names, and he pushes me around. I'm unhappy, miserable, and depressed. And I feel that things are only gonna get worse. He has flipped me of matrasses, thrown a pair of steel toe boots at me and busted open my ankle. And just recently (still have the bruise) he shoved me through the house with force, and down the steps. Almost causing me to break my tail bone. My dog has the really thick ceramic food bowls, and I fell into that, and now I have a bruise and a knot on my butt. I couldn't sit down for a week, and it still hurts and it's been a little over 2 weeks I think, if that long. Should I leave when he's not here, or what I don't know. I appreciate the help. Thank you. I do have somewhere to go. I'm gonna go to my dad's.

I have this issue were the place I was last employed I was a security guard. The employees inside of the factory needed a way to contact me in case of an emergency so I gave them my cell number considering I would be outside and only entered the building once and hour. Now I have this wife from one of the men who had my phone number, accussing me of sleeping with her husband. Which I never have and never will. But the way she contacted me is funny because with her having my phone number she felt the need to contact me on Myspace. THe accussations she is claiming are all false and I would never cheat on my husband. So why contact me on Myspace instead of calling me like a grown woman with accussations may do? Any suggestions on how to deal with this and why she may have contacted me this way?

My husband and I are both almost at 30. We've been together for 6 years and have a child in elementary school. He goes out with his friends to be out in the "Club Scene" (he calls it "networking" ), go out to drink at his buddy's house, or met up with his Aunt at a bar she is a regular at. He knows I don't approve of the amount of times a week he goes out. Especially coming home at unacceptable hours, but he doesn't take me seriously. On top of all of this I've been carrying the household for 60% of the time that we've been married. How do I get him Grow UP and to take me seriously in the fact that I'm not going to be taken for granted anymore???

I had such a laugh today with my friend, who is much older than me. I sort of was hoping she would be wiser too. In two words, she is being a bit pessimistic about men and says that they are simply driven by genitals, that women only care about their children, not men, etc.:) I know she's had a hard life and made a bad choice with men in the past. My own mom too does not give much of a credit to a male population. Anyway, what does that make you think?

My husband of 6 years recently ran into an old girlfriend. He told me that they ran into each other, but he didn't tell me that he swaped email addresses and gave her his cell phone number. I found out about it a few weeks later when I came across the emails where he's clearly flirting with her. He also mentions in his emails that she can call him late at night. I confronted him with it and he thinks I'm overreacting. The way he told me the story was that they simly ran into each other and that was it, but clearly they are still in contact with each other. I think that by omitting to tell me they are emailing and talking to each other is lying. What do you think? Is he being dishonest, or am I just over-reacting.

My husband and I are trying to look into ideas to do together. He wants to go paintballing but I'm not a fan. I like to work out but he doesn't. We both like to go mini-golfing and bowling but want a few more ideas.

We're both pretty young (I'm 22 and he's 24) and relatively active. Thanks for any ideas.

I am in the planning stages of my wedding and it just amazes me how people act about weddings. The word "wedding" is almost like a full moon or something. It makes people crazy!
Everyone feels the need to give ideas and then they get offended if you dont use them. Everyone takes what you decide personally, like its an attack on them.
Sorry but my wedding decisions are based on what my fiance and I want, they arent revenge tactics against anybody!!! But I swear people think they are!!!
Personally, I could care less what any of my family members/friends or future children did with their weddings, because its none of my business. It should be about the couple who are getting married only. I would never tell people what to do. But I seem to be in the minority.
I've even heard people say "weddings are about family", well no - arent they about 2 people starting their lives together?
I just think society has some f-ed up priorities.
