I'm 16, female, and in high school and I'm pretty sure that this guy likes me because all of a sudden I see him everyday after class.
But when I finally got a chance to talk him in group work he acts so mean and says that I act like I'm "too smart/cool for groupwork" and it made me speechless. He was nice before but now he's so rude to me for some reason. Why would someone do that...

My mom always told me growing up that the mean ones are the ones that like you. Maybe he does like you but is afraid to let you know. He may also be intimidated by you. Give it some time and see how things go. If you get to the point where you feel comfortable, pull him aside (not in front of his friends) and ask him if he would like to hangout sometime. If he keeps being mean, pull him aside and tell him it bothers you that he says those things to you. He may just be teasing you (flirting in disguise).

Simple answer- He's scared! Trust me, that's all it is. If he was nice, he knows that you would notice he likes you, and he's scared to be rejected(the" I hope you didn't get the wrong idea" speech). If you do like him, ask him out, I'll bet he accepts. Help cure his fear, it could benefit you too.

some people think that flirting is how to show how you feel, others think that being very strict and in their face is a way to show...
i think he may just be the second... and i think he feels like that, but is doing it all the wrong way, jsut ask hime what is up...

he doesnt want others to see you with him.
if it was you and him in the workgroup then he would of had your number in a second. well i dfont know about the number but hes consealing aff4ection towards you.

Someone probably told him that u liked him so he is like all "No I don't!" so now he is being all mean to show people that it's not true. But he probably DOES like you.
