I have split up from my boyfriend of 3 months.

during the relationship, he introduced me to his sister. She was quite nice to me and invited me to come visit her...which i had been unable to do due to other commitments.

just before we split, she invited me again for a visit and i promised her that i would...here's my question.

Should i or shouldn't her visit my ex's sister?

I don't want him to think that i'm trying to get back with him through her cos i ain't.

Nor do i have any intention of analysing the breakup with her.

I am simply going there with clear intentions and no expectations

Should i or would it just be too weird.

What impression will it give him

When my husband proposed, he didn't have much savings, so he bought me an included diamond on a tiffany setting. I thought the ring was ok but it wasn't my dream engagement ring. It wasn't his either.

Later this year, we will have more money saved, and he is planning to get me a better ring. Please share if you have a similar story!

Do you think it is tacky to replace our engagement ring? Also to those of you who upgraded/replaced your rings, what did you do with the first ring?

yesterday my mom said something about how nobody gets married until they're in their thirties these days. I said that's silly, I don't want to wait until I am thirty. She got all mad. I think 30 is too old to get married, especially if I decide to wait for marriage. What do you think?

Our son had a very rare disease and we were told that he would not see his first birthday... he was 7 and the love of our lives along with our (now)4 year old son. This was about 8 months ago and we are handling things completely different. I go to church, work many hours and spend time playing soccer, tennis, etc. with our other son. My husband comes home from work, watches TV and drinks beer. I am not saying that I am perfect, I have slacked off terribly with housework- wich annoys my husband because I use to be so OCD, but I don't see that as one of the most important things in my life anymore... (our house is always clean, just not PERFECT) I have tried to get him to go to therapy, but he will not... he is just very unhappy and angry all the time with me. I understand that he is suffering, as am I, but I don't know how to "reconnect"... any suggestions? (serious only PLEASE)

my son is 16 years old, He's been having an attitude since 15, His attitude consist of shutting people out, failing grades, lack of sense of humor and quick to anger, He is not doing drugs, he does not run the streets, He's in the house all the time, He has younger siblings and at times he's shut them out as well. I have sought counseling, but the courselor has experience the same thing. I try my best to show love, care, and affection, he just don't want it. My children as well as everyone else knows that im a good mom. Im so sick and tire of his damn attitude, he's lazy and gets mad when we ask him to clean. I found him a job thinking that this would help, actually it made matters worse, now he really does'nt talk, he acts arrogant and refused to tell me how much his first pay was, which is under the table, I explained to him that he works hard and i just wanted to know, to be sure he is not being ripped off. He looked at me and roll his eyes. Should I send him to Job Corp!.

met this guy last december..he works at the gym I frequent..and he seemed really nice..and he told me when I initally met him. that if I ever wanted to go to a movie or hang out to call him, but we ended up not really following through with that..so we exercised together..and he just could not stop smiling..so I'm thinking when a man acts like that he definelty likes her..plus he asked me to work out with him/..so there was some intrest but when I called him to go out to go get starbucks he told me he was busy and he would let me know..but he never did..so finally a month passes after he I asked him to go to starbucks and I see him yesterday for the first time in two months..and he;s grinning..and we conversate for a little while, and he explains to me that he's been stressed out with alot of things..and he aplogizes..and he says"I think we should go get that starbucks you were talking about"...and he tells me to keep saturday open..should I give him another chance? my father moved out unexpectedly and without warning yesterday while i was at school. my sister came home and discovered his stuff was gone and knew. up until this point, i had never imagined my father leaving. i can understand him wanting to get a divorce, but leaving the way he did angers me. i dont really know what im looking for...maybe some advice on how to cope?

I had a bridal shower this past weekend and only 4 guests came. The shower started at 6 pm and by 6:30 only 1 person had shown up. then 1 hour later, 3 more came. i was so embarrased and hurt by this. there were still a few people there including my friend who threw the shower, her mother, and my mother. it was horrible to just sit there by myself waiting on people to show up. has this ever happened to anyone?

On march 23 my divorce was final, ironicly, we celabrated by hooking up for 2 days. On the 28th he married the woman who persued him aggressivly while married to me. This weekend my ex and i have plans to meet in St Louis and get a room for the weekend. i am in the US and My wife has gone back to India with the baby on pretext of her father's ill heath. But things chnaged after she left the US. She is nottalking to me and wants the rlationship to end. I love my wife and my baby, and I am missing them terribly. She and her parents say that I was not ableto take care of her "emotionally". But I am not a bad person, i always tried my best totake good care of my wife, we ued to go out, eating, shopping, vacations, everything. but I was a little bit possessive, insecure, overprotecting her, trying to be 100% perfect everywhere. And we had some problems due tothat because I wanted to do everything myself, even her doc's appnts when she was pregnant - I was always with her always. I love her a lot. She says she had given me a lot of chnaces and that the 9 months was the last chnace, and she says i failed. I don't know what to do, how to get her and my baby back ?? My in laws are also against me now and say that they will never send her back.

How can we tell my husband's sister that we won't be attending her destination wedding without her completely hating us? Am I the only one that thinks it's selfish to expect friends and family members to fork over thousands of dollars to attend a wedding? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
