there's this guy, he's txting me right now and he's asking me if i want to be his g/f and I like him but not like that but i think he's the type of person that would avoid me if i told him i didn't like him like that and just as a friend.

we joke around a lot. how do i say it in a way that's kind of joking but equally serious?

Today my guy friend told me that he thinks i have a shield around me (including giant spikes) to protect me from letting anyone in, but that i don't need them.

I'm not sure if he meant this as a compliment or a insult.
I thought that I have been very clear about my intentions to date him...but he hasn't responded.

I am not sure if he is playing with me at this point, or whether he wants to date me.

I'm not sure what other info you'd need to help with this, but let me know!

He's an only child and grew up spoiled without consideration to anyone's feelings but his own - he's in his 50's and still throw temper tantrums if he can't get his way or things are out of his control - he will yell and threaten to become violent.

He gets over - involved in people's business and doesn't realize he how overbearing he is. He will go through everything in my room (without consideration that you don't snoop through anyone's things) just to find what he was looking for. He'll reorganize completely my CD collection because that's what he "wants to do" and is "right"; even though i strongly oppose

he is obsessive and i want him to stop - how?

and don't tell me to talk to him because it's not going to work...

Theres a guy at school Ive liked for 1.5 years. I saw him last year & thought he was cute. I didnt realize til far later that it seemed whenever I saw him we made eye contact. 1 day I saw he was in my PE class then I saw his bus was parked beside mine. I didnt talk in PE cuz I was afraid & boys & girls were apart. Now Im sure that he likes me or something cuz hes watches me still, watches my friends, gets as close to me as he can in halls & goes out of his way to make sure I see him. At local shows he does the same thing, standing near me, staring, talking loudly to friends so I hear him, etc. A friend once said in gym "He was staring at you" I dont have classes with him now. He has a "friend with benefits" who hes with all the time & kisses strictly out of school/on the bus but he pays more attention to me than her so I dont really care. I want to talk but my body gets afraid w/o me. I shake, my heart pounds, til 10 seconds pass, then Im fine. Problem is Im never around him that long.

I have worked with a guy for the past 2 years(we work in a different office but for the same company. I have liked him from the first day I saw him. Anyways he just got out of a 2 year relationship. We started hanging out about a week after he broke it off. Then we started dating. He tells me how he has liked me from the minute that I have walked thru the door etc... He wants to take me to six flags, out on his boat and take me to Vegas. He also wants to buy me a pair of Dior sunglasses( I don't think that a guy would do that for a rebound girl). I a just wondering if it is a good idea to be dating him so soon after his breakup. He never talks about her. I also heard that guys deal with a break up by trying to fall in love quickly ain to get over the ex. I am just scared of getting hurt because I really like him. Am I just the rebound girl?

I have been best friends with this girl for 8-9 years and we have always been like sisters. Well within the last year she has gotton a new boyfriend that she met on the internet, everytime I talk to her she is whining about what a d**k he is. Also everytime I or my husband have meet him he is a real douche bag... I told her the other day that I didnt like him and now she is all mad at me and sais if I cant be friends with him then I cant talk to her. But how am I suppost to pretend to like him when all I ever hear is how miserable he makes her and how he cant even hold a job, she has to be the man and woman in the house hold.
She sais she loves him but I know that she isnt happy other wise she wouldnt always be fussing about him. I am not asking her to choose him over me, I just dont wonna be buddy buddy with him. How do I get her to remain friends with me without me liking him........

What do you get from a person when you tell them you dont want to be with them and they reply saying "stop play". Then leave you a message saying we should talk to clear everything up and if you still dont want to be with me then so be it? That to me sounds like the person dont care. well,my friend used to be really good friends with this one girl who was really mean to her.so they arent good friends anymore. but my friend told me about the stuff she would say and do behind her back. so i decided not to get too close to this girl cus i dont want all that stuff to happen to me. well anyways, yesterday i was walking down the hall with this girl (this is like the first time the whole year that i have actually talked to her one-on-one) and my other friend walked by, looked but didnt say anything. then after school while i was just chatting with her for a little bit...not even 5 min. so today my friend decides to give me the cold shoulder and i asked her whats wrong and she just smiles and walks away. so i find out from someone else that i hurt her feelings because i knew that that girl was mean to her and now i am "hanging out" with her. yesterday was the first time that i actually talked to her, its not like we were planning a sleepover. so should she be mad at me?

I have a 51 year old step father that drive me nuts! He very self centered. he is so lazy I end up doing must of the work because he doesn't want to move his lazy behind because he retired. He is damaging our family because he will not let the people in his own household be who they are; they have to just like him and I refused and now deal with his stinky attutude. I don't deal with it just then but when also something doesn't go his way. He knows it drives me nuts, and then when I approach him about he ignores me, or we get into his arguement. This is taking a toll on me and this is only 1/5 of the things he does. Okay, my grades in school are low, my face is covered in bumps, and I am contantly tired from all the stress. I can't take it any more!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so i have this group of friends. we always hang out together. 2 of them are girls (Krissy & Maddy) and 3 of them are guys (Will Matt & Rob) So Matt told me that he likes krissy. and i told matt that i like rob. matt krissy and maddy all know that i like rob. three years ago, i showed my love for a girl by writing her a poem. she hated me back then, things got ugly.
a few months ago we started talking again and we became friends really fast. for v-day, i got her a bunch of stuff and a card that showed her how i felt about her.
