I've been sick for 2 weeks and everyone keeps telling me to pray. So I did for a few days and it only got worse.
I mean to go to church but it seems like nothing can get me out of bed on sunday mornings.
I get the feeling god hates me if there is even one.

My opinion. Yes, there is a God.
Why should you believe? Only because YOU want to believe. No other reason. God does answer prayer BUT sometimes His answer if "no" or "not now".
It is totally your decision

I'd like to try to answer this from a Christian point of view, (I have many Christian friends), & from what I've perceived of the concept, is that WHATEVER happens to you is God's will. Like, maybe God has a reason for not making you well, & that would be totally beyond your comprehension. Personally & without disrespect, I don't believe in this. We live in a Newtonian world, THINGS HAPPEN. Surely God didn't hate all those tragic people who suffered, (& are still suffering) from Katrina. A Jesuit friend once demanded to know, from me, why so many people died in a horrid earthquake. BECAUSE THEY WERE THERE, I said. Does that sound logical to you as it does to me? People so often feel "guilty" that they having prayed "properly" when their prayers aren't answered. If you've been sick, what good could it do you to drag yourself to church? Whether you want to believe in God or not is up to you. But, "hate" has not made you ill. I know Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, just about every religion, & those who have no religion at all. So, I'm not "bashing" anyone, & I truly hope you get well very soon!

Sorry you're not feeling well.
There are all kinds of Christian groups that believe different things. Some groups believe God has a strong influence in what happens to us here. Others believe he created this world, but does not interfere in our everyday lives.
Perhaps instead of not believing in him, you might question the way you believe in him.
And think about this. Would you forgive a sick girl for not being able to go to church? Of course! You'd probably be even sad at how sick she was. So if you, a mere mortal, can forgive and love, then someone as mighty as God certainly can.
Feel better =)

I hate god people, you know the kind
-gods gonna help me, pray to god cause he can change things, god this, god that, sorry people but if you dont have the strength to believe in yourself why would you have an invisible person to solve all your problems. Id say get yourself a philosophy book, sit out under a tree in the sun and read it. dont do anything all day besides sit in that shade and look at the wonderful world around you and know that you are truly lucky to be alive, if your illness is not life threatening then you are lucky cause tomorrow, you get to sit out in the shade again and see the wonderful world, depend on yourself to get better, do what you can and let family help you with the rest.

Your illness may have simply been running its course. Most of the people I know experience a lot of satisfaction in their belief in God. However, I feel that you can only believe what you actually find believable.

It's all in your willingness to accpet that there is a God and that he exists----God does not hate anyone. You have to have faith----cause only faith can heal you. You have to have faith in the fact that your prayers will be answered in order to receive delivernece from your sickness
