Family & Relationships - 21 March 2007

I work 3rd shift (11pm-7am) so when I get to bed its almost 8am. My son gets out of school at 230pm so on a good day I get 6 1/2 hours of sleep a day. However taking a nap after is not an option. I have to baby sit his cousins everyday at this time. Were family but everyday they come over, every weekend then sleep over, every Sunday they come over to eat lunch. I see them all the time, when they come over; who ends up watching them all you might ask? That’s right, me, wheres everyone else? good question, I dont know either. What really gets me is when the other people in the house ask "you never spend time with me here, why are you leaving?" I just want to yell.
Im frustrated and just want peace and time to spend with my family. Is this wrong how I feel, I mean, we are family and thats what family does, help each other but its really getting to me. I cant tell my girlfriend, their her (blood) family.
My girlfriend thinks even when everyones here it still quality time. I disagree.

My boyfriend asked me to burn a cd for him while he was in the shower, and when i brought up windows media player there was a porn video. I asked him about it when he got out of the shower but he ignored me and got mad at me! I tried to tell him I wasn't mad I just felt pretty crappy seeing as how we have sex almost everyday and he looked at it like 6 hours right after we did. He just told me I was annoying and started getting so mad that I just walked away. How can I handle this I really need some advice, I'm not mad at him but if he's going to flip out on me I am going to be pretty upset seeing as how I already feel not good enough. help?!

My father died last August and since his death I've been feeling really empty inside and I've been in so much pain.For some reason over the months the pain is becoming much worse and I feel I am becoming suicidal.Each time the pain comes back there's something inside of me that tells me if I end my life all the pain will go away.I'm so afraid and I dont want to listen to that voice in my head because I don't want to hurt myself but on the other hand im tired of crying and hurting inside.I'm afraid to tell my family because they will think I am crazy,I'm starting to think that about myself too.Can someone please tell me what to do.I pray everynight for god to take the pain away but it doesnt help.That voice is talking to me again and my heart and soul is aching.I know that I need help,Could someone please tell me what should I do??

so first u glorify the person, think they are some kind of god, have a little crush on them, then everything suddenly turns to envy and jealousy when you realise they are competing in the same realms as you. how can i beat the jealousy i have towards this guy i know? he is intelligent and has great social skills. im intelligent too but a bit deficient on the social skills. i want to know how can i overcome my feelings..because i just feel so down sometimes because of him and everybody praising him all the time. maybe because im not in the crowd praising him anymore but in the crowd challenging him...help with your suggestions

I just got the lead role in a play called Snow White. The guy I just started to like got to be the Prince. During our practices at school, our director said that she didn't want it to be a kiss on the lips, but an air kiss. Other words, pretend. While all this was happening, one of my friends over heard him talking to his friends saying he wanted to kiss me. He flirts with me and we talk alot. On the performance day, he kissed me, and it felt great. After the play, the cast had cake and punch, but my crush and I only made eye contact and smiled.Was it just a stage kiss or a real kiss.

Some time ago I was at a picnic watching friends kids play. A little 4 year old girl was throwing a ball to her brother. I said to my friends (and she couldnt hear this) "she throws like a little girl"
These friends were offended and I believe even 5 years later they hold some kind of weird grudge.

Was i insensitive?

ps..... i still laugh at this joke.. and its worth losing friends to be able to enjoy it to this day.

I met my boyfriend when i was in italy for the first time. It was love at first sight. We kissed before we even talked and two days later I moved into his apt for the remaining month there. In the next 11 months we spent 3 months together (me there twice and he came to the us once). Then I moved there and we spent the next six months together. In that time we had communication problems, becuase he knew some english and i knew no italian, we were always learning. Other than that things were okay but he didnt encourage me to speak italian and didnt help me with independant life outside of the relationship and apt. I met friends and things were great until one day we were fighting and he slapped me across the face. I slapped him back and went back to the US. Its been 1 month, hes been writing messages saying he wants to get me a job and buy me a ticket back. he admits his mistakes completely saying he never did that before or will again. I love him very much. should i go back?

I just foud out that my ex bf he was cheating on me and It kind of hurt me really bad. I alway though that being a gd gf would keep him well I guess not. He said that i was a gd girlfriend but why would he wanna cheat on me.Why would he want to just do me wrong.I guess he was not ready for me and a commeted relationship. My husband has this horrible habit....As soon as he is done eating he gets up from the table and starts washing the dishes...When he gets dishes out of the cupboard he checks them all over to make sure there are no spots....He gets mad if there are dirty dishes in the sink....We have been married for 34 years and he was NEVER like this.... We recently moved into this new house and all of a sudden he becomes this clean freak.....He works on my nerves....He sees nothing wrong with how he is!!.. What do I do????!!!!! I need advice!!

I know it sounds weird, and I should mind my own business but our family doesn't work that way. My sister who is in her early 30s (single mom) has "befriended" an ex who I, along with many others believe is gay. I don't have a problem with the gay part, it's the part that involves her romantically linked to him and possibly marrying him and how this would affect the whole family. My neice was raised by all of us and a relationship with this guy would force her to move across state. She tends to make irrational mistakes and we all suffer for it, except this time I think it would kill my mother who is extremely close to my neice (one and only grandchild). I really feel my mother's health will be at stake if this were to happen. My neice spends more time with her than my sis., and I know this experience will scar my neice emotionally. If my sis does this, there's no way she would let her daughter stay. Our family is closely nit, but my sis has a short fuse making it hard to talk to her...

I recently started a new job after 6 years with my former employee...during the week of orientation, me and a female applicant spent alot of time together...she let it be known that she has two small children by her live-in boyfriend....so I assumed she was happy but he made a point of sitting with me during lunch and breaks....at first, I thought she was kicking me under the table..by accident but the next time, we ate lunch together..I felt foot and ankle rub against my leg in a way that kind made me uncomfortable..I kind of slide the other way since we were sitting across from each other....I come in early and go to the morning meeting 15 minutes prior to roll call....she comes to work just in time and looks over at me when she thinks that I'm not paying attention....she has conversation with other people mainly guys ...is she trying to make me jealous...I'm a conservative guy who dos'ent like workplace relationships...what do you think?...does this crazy girl have a crush on me?

My husband and I have had some problems lately...I don't really talk to anyone about it because it's personal and I don't want my friends to dislike him....I thought he was the same. We have each others email passwords and I sent him an email I shouldn't have so I went on to erase it and in his trash box there was an email from a girl he used to date and one back to her. (history...this girl was someone he cheated on his ex with...) In his email to her he said "I am married and its been strained, but what can you do..If you are like me, pretend nothing is wrong". I've never met her...I didn't know they still talked.

I confronted him...but I am at work and we are meeting soon to talk and I just want other peoples advice so I don't do anything crazy! I feel betrayed.

(and yes, I know I shouldn't go into his email, I don't snoop...I really did just go on to erase a nasty email I sent to him)
